Book 13 is about former special ops soldier and now bodyguard-school employee Angel and about one of the 4 partners of the town's new Sports-Agency - SCORE: Taryn.
They start their courtship right on the first page! ☺
Angel approaches Taryn in the café and basically tells her that they're 'inevitable' - they will be having a fling. They have been noticing each other across town since they both arrived last year.
They both don't have time for anything serious. Well, they don't have the time and they both had sad pasts that prevent them from risking anything more than a short affair.
And that's how it starts - they go on a date - Taryn receives a very romantic invitation for said date ;)
They really click - Angel senses that the icy business woman is looking for someone a bit more dominant in the bedroom and he's the guy to give it to her.
Next to Angel and Taryn's budding romance, there's their work. Taryn is very busy with her frustrating partners: former football pros Simon, Kenny and her ex-husband Jack and Jack's 'slightly weird' assistant Larissa.
Angel is trying to give back to the community by signing up for whatever Mayor Marsha has to offer - and she sends him to be the team-leader for a group of kids.☺☺☺ With very funny and moving and interesting and dangerous consequences.

I loved all the Fool's Gold books - I would be happy to have a new Fool's Gold book every month!
I've been sooo looking forward to hearing Angel's story - and now he's finally telling it☺
I LOVED IT!!!
We've been seeing Angel around town and in the bodyguard school and I couldn't wait to read about him.
And Taryn - the fashion-addict-business-woman.
I was really looking forward to it.
And it didn't disappoint one bit.
Angel is such an adorably sweet and sad guy.
And Taryn - with her shoe addiction and her 3 'children' heheheeh - the 3 ex-football players she works with - who are basically her only family. She loves them and they work hard, but they're getting on her nerves a lot!
The book was really sweet and sexy and very funny ☺☺ I laughed a lot - with Angel and his little group of kids!!!! Adorable!!!!
But I also cried very much ....there were sooo many moving and sad moments ♥
And of course we have my beloved sexy moments too ☺♥☺
And of course we meet other old friends again - like Ford, Isabel, Consuelo etc.
I loved to see them again...
but more than that - I really enjoyed getting to know the new guys a bit more - the heroes of the upcoming books - like Sam & Dellina - Jack & Larissa - Kenny & (not telling you yet☺)
Can't wait to read their stories!!!!

Fans of Susan Mallery will love it - new Readers should start with Book 1 - is it neccessary you ask? No it's not - the books can easily be read as standalones - but WHY IN THE NAME OF THE GODDESS OF THE MA'A-ZIB TRIBE WOULD YOU WANT TO MISS READING ONE OF THOSE AMAZING BOOKS!???!?!! ☺☺☺
Now I can't wait for the next books - those hot football players..... grrrrr ☺ !!!!
