A second
chance may be just what James Steele needs…
I might
be one of the older players on the Arizona Vengeance, but I like to think that
also makes me one of the wisest. Or at least I used to.
Turns out
I was a bit of a selfish prick. I’ve been married to hockey and my team for
years, which hasn’t left much time for my actual wife, Ella. Now I’m
juggling a separation I never wanted, the pressure of being a single dad to our
teenage daughter, and the career I sacrificed it all for. If I have any hope of
saving the family I love, I need to re-prioritize, and fast.
Time to put on my game
face, because I’m in it to win it.
STEELE AND ELLA
We already heard about Steele and how he wants to win his wife back in the previous book.

Now it's time to get serious. They've been in love since highschool. He can't imagine life without her. And Ella is not the only one he has to win back. Convincing his 13 year old daughter Lucy that he's changed will be just as difficult.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN...☺
Another adorable and funny story in this great hockey series.
I really enjoyed reading it.
It was really cute and fun and sexy. But also a bit too meh. It's just the same stuff book after book. I like reading them, but it's never anything new. It's like we've read the exact same book 100 times before - and at least 25 of those 100 were hockey books by Sawyer Bennett. I think there should be a law against book series going higher than book 3 or 5. You just can't invent anything new in such a world.
But ...also... we love those worlds and we enjoy reading these books and seeing all the other players and wives again.
Don't worry, it was a cute romance - I liked reading it! I was just in a bit of a anti-mood today. Lol.
Can we also please get a Sawyer Bennett Hockey Netflix series??

STEELE was another cute little love story in this great hockey series! ☺ Run to your nearest amazon for your own STEELE - this one is MINE!
As with every Sawyer book ... I had some problems with the writing... THIS TIME IT WASN'T ALL THAT BAD ...but I still noticed at least 8!
It's Sawyer's and my THING ☺ It's only me who has those problems with her writing. So please don't be worried or just scroll down and don't read the following...
I have a HUGE AS problem! ☺ You know the AS's I'm talking about? The AS that could/should be exchanged for a SINCE or a BECAUSE or just a comma/dot/pause/whatever.☺ It's a British and or legal thing (if it's a thing at all!) and it doesn't have anything to do in an American book by an American author. I really don't want to insult Sawyer. I love her books, but ... please stop doing it. But pfff who am I to tell her what to do, so just forget I said anything! It doesn't stop her books from being great!
ARC received from author for an honest review
I picked up this book, not quite remembering who Steele was in the mix of things.
As soon as I started reading, I was all "oh yeah, that guy. The one trying to win his wife back."
I liked that this was a on a different tack to the other books. Steele and Ella have already found their HEA, now it is the fight to keep it.
I did laugh at the other guys giving advice on how to win her back, however misguided it was at times. I liked seeing the change.
I do feel though, that maybe it is time to retire the Arizona Vengeance guys? Don't get me wrong, I love reading them, love any hockey series, but by book 9 is there really anywhere more that the series can go without the stories getting repetitive? Don't shoot me, Ms Bennett, you could write the menu for the local takeaway restaurant and I would read it, but to me (and this probably just me) they are all starting to feel the same.
But I need Bader's story first!
