**ARC RECEIVED FROM AUTHOR FOR HONEST REVIEW**

In Buying Thyme we read as prostitute Miranda struggled with her feelings for bad guy ~ very bad guy ~ Joe Tench, and all round good guy Tom Smythe.

At the end we found out that neither guy was who she thought they were.  Joe was worse than she thought, and Joe was really Agent Nick Davis of an agency that works outside the government.

Nick has tracked Miranda, or Mia, her real name she is now going by, down and she is now part of his agency, and she is tasked to help bring down Joe Tench.

Mia and Nick's romance is travelling along well - maybe going too easy?  But I just love these two together.  They did not have an orthodox start to things, but neither of them are exactly orthodox people in normal careers, which I felt helped them come together.

I do love that even thought Nick has all his alpha hotness, Mia does not fade into the shadows.  She is such a strong, strong woman that if she was anything less it would take away from her and the story.  They complement each other so well together, but we see growth from each of them while they are apart too.

Just when things were travelling along and things with the take down were starting to come together - BAM!!! Ms Hamilton threw real doozie at us!

Seriously, I was left thinking
I could not believe what I had just read!  I did message Ms Hamilton after finishing and told her "thanks for the mind f&%k"!

I love that this series is set in my home town of Sydney, and can picture the places she is talking about, showing the wonder and beauty of Sydney, as well as the seedy underbelly.
Even with the ending of Making Thyme and the cliffhanger, I am really looking forward to sinking my teeth into Keeping Thyme.  I am very curious as to how this trilogy will end!
Well played Ms Hamilton, well played.

EXCERPT

Meet Denver

Shes, at best, a fuck buddy. However, I prefer the term whore. Fuck buddy is far too nice a term for her, a catty voice cracks from behind me.

I take a deep breath and look up at the ceiling, saying a little prayer that maybe the venomous voice isnt referring to me. I thought Id left all that behind in Anaconda. Wed been here for all of three days, so its highly probable theyre not talking about me, right?  Looking back down, I continue pouring Jack in my Solo cup, surpassing the line that is recommended for liquor.

Yeah, so apparently, shes got some serious issues and doesnt do relationships. So, she puts out for her guy friends whose girls are too good to give it up. Thats her idea of a relationship.

Really? Thats kinda gross, I hear the other girl mutter.

Sonofabitch! I groan. Yep, theyre talking about me. I splash a little Coke in my cup and stick my finger in it to stir it around a little. I feel tears spring to my eyes and berate myself for still having feelings and giving a shit what people think about me. Years of dealing with this crap should have made me immune, but Id really hoped college would be different. And how the hell do they even know about that shit? Strengthening my spine, I turn and give them a beguiling smile, which causes them both to blanch. Yeah, bitches, youve no idea who youre dealing with.

Ladies, I say with a quirked eyebrow. Removing my finger from the drink, I place it in my mouth and suck off the excess. With a pop, I release it. I see my reputation precedes me. Well, let me just reassure you that Im very good at what I do. When you wont give it up for your guy, hell be looking me up, and Ill be more than happy to take care of him. No questions. No strings. Just lots of meaningless hot sex. I peer around them with a searching look. Are they here? Your boyfriends? I look back at them innocently. I almost snort at their mutual expressions of surprise and disdain. Or, I continue, are the sticks up your asses enough so that you dont need a man? Both of their mouths drop on that line. Yep, gets em every time. Oh, no judgment here, I vow. I totally get not wanting to be tied down to any one Dick or Tom or Harry.
