✪ Hot Shot (Last Call #2) ✪ Kelly Jamieson ✪

A former Navy SEAL and current bad boy bar owner learns to trust a free spirit in this steamy novel of unexpected romance from the bestselling author of Body Shot and the Heller Brothers series.

Marco Solis knows that if he gets too close to people they disappear. His parents were deported back to Mexico when he was fourteen, his fianc
ée married someone else while he was in the military, and now his business partners spending more time with his girl than with Marco. For better or worse, thats how Marco meets Carrie Garner. Shes legitimately model-hot. Shes also a nuta wild, artsy, unapproachable nut. So why is Marco so interested in cracking her shell?

Although Carrie Garner is a natural in front of the camera, her dream is to make it as a photographer. Soon she
ll be heading to Spain for design school, and shell miss her best friend, Hayden, like crazy. Shell even miss Haydens boyfriend, Beckbut she wont miss Becks partner, Marco. Bossy, brooding, and annoyingly sexy, Marco really pushes her buttons, though he obviously wouldnt mind pushing her buttons in an up-against-the-wall, hard-and-fast kind of way. The craziest part is, if Carrie lets him do that, well . . . she may never want to leave.

Includes an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

Ms Jamieson, you had me at SEAL.

It is no secret that I am a sucker for a SEAL book,  Whilst I haven't read the first book inthe Last Call series (how did I miss that??) this did not take anything away from Hot Shot.

I liked the push/pull between Marco and Carrie, though at times they both individually frustrated me.

At times, they felt weak, like they were teenagers rather than the smart and successful adults they are (but this could just be me).  They were so down on themselves most of the time and I wanted to clonk their heads together to knock some sense into them.

The banter between Marco and Carrie was fun and flirty, with a share of dirty talk thrown in for good measure.  Their chemistry is of the charts.

I loved the relationships between Marco and his 2 SEAL best friends, Beck and Cade, as well as between Carrie and her best girl Hayden.

Now I need to go back to read book 1, and can't wait to see who takes Cade off the market.
