I think this woman may be the death of me. A dire prediction, but probably true.
Probably true because she’s not mine to have and I’ll probably take her, even at the risk to my own safety. So many men slobbering to get a taste of her and only one, sweet, virginal girl to go around.
That’s right.
She’s a virgin.
Looking like a porcelain china doll that would break if not handled carefully. But I also know she’s stronger than she looks.
She’s a contradiction.
She’s most likely my downfall.
Like I said, she’ll probably be the death of me, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.

**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

We all remember Logan from the last book - he had a verrry sexy threesome with Rand & Cat. ☺
And now here's his own book.
He's had some things happen in his past that we don't yet know about, but those things made him into the person he is today: some kind of aimless guy going from place to place to work and have sex. Because sex is one of the only things that seem to be helping him to forget about his past.
And what better place to be and work and have sex constantly than THE SILO? ☺
Next to his job as a fishing guide, he's jobbing as a fantasy-maker at Bridger's sex club.
And one night SHE walks in.
Beautiful, young, virginal .... and 'slave' of this weird guy Magnus. He's parading her around the club every night. Rumor is he's planning on giving away her virginity to the highest bidder.
Not something Logan would be able to afford. Even though it would be something he'd give his last cent to have. Not because of the virginity thing - he couldn't care less about that.
No, he's so very terribly attracted to her.
And Auralie seems to be very attracted too. Their eyes meet every night, and they seem to be able to communicate without ever talking to each other.
But of course they can't ever be together.
Auralie needs this auction to work - her family depends on her.

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO LOGAN & AURALIE????
WiLL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEiR HEA?

I'm not telling you that of course...

I really enjoyed Logan's book.
Very erotic moments with lots of mystery about why both Logan and Auralie were at The Silo and what kind of bad things in their past had them ending up there.
I loved it.
You don't really know what happened to them, but we still want them to end up together - and it doesn't look very promising ...
But of course we hope that Logan will somehow be able to help Auralie out of whatever problems she's caught in...
Great erotic romance with lots of mystery and sex and some tears and adorableness ☺☺☺

What I didn't love all that much - just like in the last 3 Wicked books - and I know that it's just a personal problem of mine... and I don't even know how to describe it - I don't know the correct grammatical term for it... the AS things. Normally you only use AS as LIKE (She's AS pretty AS a button). Sometimes authors use it as it is used here - but Sawyer uses it a million times and I JUST HATE IT!!!
I think it's what english kids learn to do in school, and maybe what people used to learn decades or centuries ago, but it's just not used much anymore and when it is used I just hate it.

Examples:

...drive him to the airport AS he had an emergency back in New York...

...isn't an overly fancy place AS I'm wearing jeans...

I requested outdoor seating AS it was an unseasonable warm day....

...having my father do this AS I knew the risk of ...

I don't know why I hate it that much - it just sounds way too formal and idiotic in a contemporary You could very easily exchange it for a comma or a because or since.romance.
You probably don't even know what I mean - I'm bad at explaining things ☺Sorry. #EndOfASRant ☺
A tiny little 2nd rant maybe ☺  The way Sawyer writes in this book, or rather in this series is a bit over-the-top sometimes. Like she tries too hard to sound different than in her other books. And it just doesn't fit the whole atmosphere of this sex club vibe. Too big words and expressions.
One example:

...felt it the very first time we BEHELD each other....

we're not in a historical romance! ☺
The writing here and there is just something that bothers me a bit. BUT it's not something that should stop potential readers from buying the book....
because I really loved Logan's story!
It was incredibly erotic and adorable and sad and even suspensy .... It really had everything a great erotic romance needs!
(ok - sorry - another little rant coming - the suspense part. I felt it was not really addressed enough towards the end. We don't really know what happens - I was expecting some gun-fighting action moments or anything more suspensy really. BUT - it was ok the way it was - I just expected a bit more.)

WICKED RIDE- was a wickedly beautiful erotic Romance! Mystery, hot sex, a very adorable & amazing hero & heroine.....what more does a great story need? Run to your nearest amazon to buy yourselves some Logan & Auralie!!!!

eeeeeep - next up is Bridger!!!!!
Can't wait to see what he'll have for us - we already got a little preview in the epilogue!!! ☺

ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review

Oh yeah, back to The Silo we go!

Woohoo the latest addition to the Wicked Horse series is here!

We have met Logan McKay in the previous books in this series, particularly in Rand's book (who could forget that wicked hot action with Rand and Cat??)

Logan's story carries on from that night, and what a story it is.

There are so many questions in Logan's story.  Why is he in Wyoming and at The Silo.  What is the thing in his past that he can't move on from.

Then there is Aurelie, the woman how has been on his mind since their eyes met across The Silo.

She is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.  Nothing is what is seems when it comes to her.

There is so much sexual tension between Logan and Aurelie that at times it felt like the air around them would combust.  And I loved that things were drawn out with them (which I usually don't!)

There was plenty of suspense and intrigue with this pair, and this kept on going right up until the end.

The only thing for me though, was that all the stuff that was happening throughout, all the suspensey stuff ... just was over.  Poof... done and dusted.   I would love to have known more about how things went down, and I felt a little jipped that I didn't (but this could just be me!)

Wicked Ride has been another great step in the journey to where I really want it to be... Bridger's story!

Please don't  make me wait too long for him!
