Review:  ARC received for an honest review

I didn't know what to expect whenI picked up Yearning Devotion to read, and I was instantly drawn in.

Gwen has had a tragic start to life.  No family, kidnapped and raped for 5 years.  Yet she has come through it all and has forged a life for herself.  Working while putting herself through design school, she is determined to make something of herself.

The other homeless people she had been hanging out with had kept her alive and sane. They helped her get other clothes to wear. They never asked questions, not too many anyway, they all had things they didn’t want to talk about too.

Then there is Mr Green Eyes, Cole.  Cole, the sexy man Gwen watches every morning on the train to school.  Not hard to see why Gwen falls head over heels.

But with all relationships, there are ups and downs, confusion and misunderstandings.  And Gwen and Cole are no different.  One major misunderstanding derails their relationship.

I could have slapped Cole for letting things happen the way they did!  But I loved that he was determined to make things right, and would not let any amount of time stop it happening.

Gwen is a confused woman - she loves McKayla, but completely and utterly smitten with Cole. What I loved about McKayla was that she was willing to do whatever was needed to make Gwen happy - even if it meant brining Cole into their lives and their relationship.  What a wonderful woman.

Every good story has to have a plot twist.  Yearning Devotion has a doozie!  Gwen's past comes back to find her in a big way.  We learn more about her teenage years and how she escaped from the men who held her captive.

Yearning Devotion was one rollercoaster of a read, and I couldn't put it down.  Not your average love story.
