The son of an icon.

He was a legend. Rock royalty.

A man I never met.

But I’m measured against him in every aspect of my life.

The only time I feel like me the real me is when I’m onstage with my band. But the more we grow in popularity, the more people compare me to him.

I’m not him. And I never will be. If only everyone could figure that out for themselves.

I need a break from it all.

Then, a confrontation has me jumping in my car, putting LA in my rearview mirror. And a stupid mistake ends up with my car on the side of the road. And straight into the path of a girl who is the exact opposite of everyone else in my life.

She’s like everything I used to know.

And she has no clue who I am.

Even if she did, I don’t think she’d care.

She thinks I’m cavalier.

I think she’s intriguing. And hot. Let’s not forget hot.

I’m stuck in this town overnight while my car is being fixed. But I’m thinking I’m gonna stick around a bit longer.

I’m Storm Slater, lead guitarist in Slater Raze and the only child of the late, great Jonny Creed. But, here, right now I’m nobody. Just a regular guy.

I’m liking it a whole lot.

And I’m liking her even more.

We all remember Storm. He's the adopted son of Jake and Tru Wethers. The biological son of Jake's dead band mate Jonny.
He's all grown up now. Well, he's 24. But he feels like a 50 year old burned out rocker.
His band is huge. They have fans. Groupies. All the alcohol and drugs they could ever want. But he doesn't want that all anymore. He just wants to make music. And he doesn't want to be reminded of his über-amazing dad all the time. He never even met the guy! Why can't people stop comparing him to Jonny?! And it gets even worse when he finds out what really happened the night Jonny died.
Storm needs to get out of LA!
Enter Stevie. She lives a happy and quiet life working with her gran at their B&B in Lake Havasu. She doesn't know who Storm is - and he LOVES that.
But Storm can't hide away in Arizona forever - he needs to get back home eventually ....

What will happen with Storm & Stevie?
Will there be a HEA?

ROCK STAR ROMANCE!!
EEEEP!
I'm such a huge rock star romance groupie!

And this was very rock starish at the beginning. We see how Storm doesn't love that life anymore. He hates the whole drugs and groupies stuff. And I didn't really love him in the beginning. He was a bit immature for the first 15% of the book. He goes about his rock star life. Constantly complaining how hard and boring it all is. How he hates everything. Especially how everyone only cares about him because of his dad and I really hated how he sounded so spoiled!
But once that thing with the journalist happens, and he drives out of LA it got so much better. Suddenly he was so adorable! And once he met Stevie it was all just so sweet and cute and funny.
So much easier for the poor rich kid. Stevie only cares about 80's music. She never heard of him or his dad. It's so adorable to see how he loves that. He never had that in the last decade.

I really adored those Arizona moments.
But of course he can't stay there forever. He needs to get back in the studio with his guys. They have an album to record. He can't let his best friends down.
Will Stevie come with him? Her whole life is in that cute town. She's not an LA girl.

I loved the book. It was so adorably sweet and funny! Stevie is just hilarious! She's soo perfect for Storm. And her grandma is the best grandma ever!!! LOL!

For a rock star romance ... I missed the sexiness a bit. It's a bit too slow between Stevie and Storm - or maybe the beginning of the book took too long. He should've been in Arizona sooner.
I sometimes had the feeling that whole chapters and scenes were cut by the editor. There are a few little holes in the story here and there. It should've been a bit longer. I needed more of so many things and moments....
Another tiny little thing. The cover. It's a hot rocker guy - but it's not a 24 year old Storm. It's more of a 39 year old whoever.☺
BUT - I still really loved reading the book!!

FINDING STORM was an adorable & funny & heartbreaking rock-star-hides-in-a-small-town romance. Run to your nearest amazon for your own Storm - this one is MINE!!! ☺
...also ...we OBVIOUSLY now need books about the other guys in Storm's band too!

ARC received for an honest review

Before I started reading Finding Storm, I asked myself "do I really need more in the TMS world?  Weren't the boys stories enough?"

Nope, they weren't.  I didn't know I needed Storm's (remember him, Jake and Tru adopted him when his dad/Jake's band mate died) story until I was reading it.

For a rock star book, this really is a slow burn of a story.  Our boy is feeling jaded by the life style, and whilst you expect him to be all wham bam thank you ma'am with the groupies, he isn't.

He was a bit childish the first probably 20% of the book (I mean, yeah, he is only 24), but as his story moved along, I could feel the growth in his character.  I loved that he didn't just expect everyone and everything to happen at the snap of a finger.

His girl is just fabulous.  I love her and her 80's music loving heart.  I love that she doesn't go for any of his rockstar BS.  I love the love she has for her family.  Gah, she is just the best!

I loved seeing Jake and Tru and their family, Denny and Tom and all The Mighty Storm crew again.

I wanted more of this story. So much more.
