Blog Tour - Night Moves (G-man #3) by Andrea Smith

There's a new Alpha in town and he's a Brit!

Darcy Nicole Sheridan, is 22 years-old, beautiful, single, spirited, sexy and  - spoiled. She knows that about herself. Raised by wealthy (and doting) parents as an only child, Darcy pretty much coasts through life until her heart was inexplicably broken by her boyfriend, Darin.

To ease the pain, Darcy flies to Belize over the holidays fully intending to wallow in self-pity and distance herself from her ex. Her pity party is short-lived however, after observing a very handsome, very intriguing man on the beach. Darcy becomes the focus of the smokin' hot, wealthy and somewhat mysterious 'E.J.'

Soon she finds herself entangled with an alpha like no other  Her world is rocked by a series of events that will forever change the course of her life, showing her what love is all about; and forcing her to come to terms with hidden sexual pleasures only one man could fulfill

This book is intended for mature audiences.

Night Moves is book 3 in the G-Man series but can be read as a stand alone (I have not read the first 2 - yet - but this did not take away at all from this story).

Darcy - 22 years old, smart and sassy, beautiful and newly single.  Oh, and just a bit spoilt - hell, a lot spoilt.  But she owns it and is not sorry for it.

Easton - 33 years old, rich and sexy.  A bit of an asshold and a lot of a manwhore (hello sir!)  And he comes with a very sexy piece of body modification **wink wink**  Oh yes, how can we forget, he's British

Their eyes meet over a tropical beach
and that starts a series of chance meetings and interactions that bring them closer together, culminating in mind blowing orgasms

I love that Darcy is not a whiney pathetic kind of girl.  After her break up and some news from her parents (which I still am not sure if I want to cheer for or strangle them for the way they did it), you would expect a lesser woman to crumple.  Not Darcy - as a big fat eff you to her parents and her ex she goes balls to the wall to make it on her own.  We watch her transformation from spoilt brat to confident young woman.

I have to say, I really didn't take to Easton at first.  I am not sure what it was about him but just rubbed me the wrong way.  I did love that he owned that he was a man-whore and didn't hide it.  I hate it when you read some man is supposed to be whoring around and there is no sign of it.  Easton has it out there loud and proud - very loud at times!

And the change in him when he realises he has real feelings for Darcy is very noticable, not just to the reader but to those around him.
There is a fair bit of angst as their relationship blossoms, not from just within their relationship but from outside it as well.  We learn of Easton's childhood and his relationship with his mum (hiss) and dad, and how it has shaped him to the man he is today.  And then there's the ex.

He omitted the fact that I looked a lot like the last woman he may actually have truly cared for. I mean, yeah, he told me that I wasnt anything like Lacee... but what about Bianca friggin Templeton? And then he just walks out of my life, expecting me to never have figured it out and call him out on that kind of bullshit? Yeah... fuck that and fuck him. Its time a woman takes him down a few pegs.

Careful, sweetheart. Eli replied, as he leaned up against my bedroom dresser, Youre starting to sound like one of those Hell hath no fury like a lover scorned girls who sit up in their attic, planning some poor schmucks demise.

I considered that for a good second, looking down at the carpet. This isnt about that, Eli. I finally said. Its about being lied to by someone who was clearly using me as a stand-in for...what? Prolong an ended relationship? To use me as some sort of fantasy in bed, so he can fuck the one that got away? I looked back over at him.

He shrugged. I dont know. And maybe its better that we dont know. He walked over to me, putting his hands on my shoulders, I dont get it. One minute, I could swear you love the guy; the next minute youve got this evil vixen thing going that I cant comprehend.

I couldnt say anything to that. I didnt even fully understand why I was reacting the way I was.

Eli pulled away from me, crossing his arms. A piece of advice, Darce? When it comes fucking someone over... Dont fuck with someone who knows how to fuck you harder.
Will Easton and Darcy have their happy ever after?   Uh uh, not telling, you are going to have to find out for yourself.

Andrea Smith had me drawn into the G-Man world from when I first picked it up.  At 469 pages is is a long read - yay, I get a bit sick of the 200 page/2 hour books, I LOVE something with more substance!

Ms Smith's writing style is engaging and interesting, and I will definitely be reading more of her work.
