• Book #1 in the PLAYER duet
• Book #2 - The Catch - will be out in July!
Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to side in the club’s best interest if he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat or is one of them bound to get burned?
Easton Wylder is a Baseball superstar. He had to become one - his dad was one too.
Four months ago his shoulder was pretty badly hurt by this idiot from the other team, and now his team sends him his last chance to get back on the field - in the form of Scout.
She's the daughter of the most famous physical therapist ever - Doc Dalton.
Easton is pretty sure he's mega attracted to her, but can he trust her with his shoulder?
And why did Doc send his daughter and didn't come himself?
And what about the weird new manager of the team? What has he planned for the Aces?
And how can something serious start between Scout & Easton without hurting either of their professional lives?

I Loved it!!!
Which is weird, because I hate baseball!
I guess most non-americans hate, or rather, don't understand baseball. We can only appreciate it for the good-fitting trousers! ☺☺☺ And we can also understand their love for the sport - for most it's the connection to their childhood, when you went out every Sunday - with grandpa - to the ballpark to eat peanuts and popcorn and jump out of your seats and scream when the others were doing it too. I understand that kind of love for something. But it's american - and I'm just not american.
There was really a LOT of baseball in this book. That part was a bit boring for me. Or a lot boring!!!
I think american authors just don't get that no one cares about baseball outside of your great country. Which is something you should think about if you want to sell books! I love sports - I'm totally okay with football romances but baseball. Ugh, just typing the word makes me sleepy.☺
BUT, I really loved the characters. Easton is your typical cocky sports-superstar. But he's also super nice and he listens and wants to know everything about Scout.
And he has a slightly horrible private life. His dad, the former superstar, is only seeing the baseball star in him, not the son. And his mom. She's an alcoholic living in a trailer. He loves her very much and he's helping her as much as he can, but she doesn't really want the help.
And Scout. She is the woman who is SO not impressed by all his baseball superstar-ness - only she is. She's sooo attracted to him. Adorable!
But of course she has her problems too. Her dad is sick and she desperately needs the contract with Easton's team for her future.
I really enjoyed reading it. Would've enjoyed it more if Easton had been a rockstar or something else, but I really loved him. He's so sweet with Scout and his mom ...
And poor Scout is so adorably scared of falling for someone - especially a sports someone. She doesn't want to be left behind. She's been left by enough people in her life.
If you like sexy sports romances with a bit of excitement and drama, you will so LOVE this book!!!!
I really did and now I can't wait for book #2 to come out - I NEED to know how Scout and Easton's story will end in THE CATCH!
THE PLAYER was an adorable Baseball Romance! Lots of fun, sexy & very serious moments! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Easton Wylder - this one is MINE!!! ☺
ARC received for an honest review
Now firstly, what do we think of that cover? I am not much to worry about the covers, but sweet baby cheeses, this one is hot!
Secondly, Woo hoo, a new series from K. Bromberg!
She has become one of my "would read if she wrote the phone book authors".
Now I am not a fan of baseball at all - all I know of it I have learned from Major League, so that being said I don't know much at all, but I do love a sports romance book.
Scout and Easton's story is sweet and sexy with a little bit of sadness thrown in there.
I loved them both from the first meeting. It made me laugh out loud and then I couldn't help but adore them both. From that moment on I was their biggest cheerleader.
My heart hurt for Scout as we learn more about her life, and I am pretty sure I am not the only only who wanted to scream at Easton's father - more than once!
I loved that Easton, even though he was all cocky sports start and player, he was all sweetness and light as well, especially when it came to his Scout.
There was lots going on in this book, and just when I thought we were going to get some answers.. BAM... holy cliffhanger Batman!
Although it is not too long until we get the next book in this duet, can it please be July already. I NEED to know what happens next!
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.
On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift (Releasing 10/4/16)), and a short story titled UnRaveled. She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out at the end of 2016.
Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (The Player (#1) and The Catch (#2)) and the Everyday Heroes series (Cuffed (#1), Combust (#2), and Cockpit (#3). She also published a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series. She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
