It's time to come home, Finn.

It’s been seven years since Daniel Finley left his hometown in Florida for the hustle and bustle of Chicago’s city life.

Since then, he’s worked hard for his position at the prestigious law firm Leighton & Associates, even when it’s caused distance and isolation from his family and friends. But that’s all about to change.

On his thirtieth birthday, he receives the one thing he never dared hope for. Something that was promised to him years earlier
a note. One simple sentence from the man he’s never been able to forget.

Six words will forever change the course of their lives.

Brantley Hayes has it all. Or so he thinks. When he first made the decision to take a job down in Florida, his family thought he was crazy. But, after years of living in the quiet beach town, he finally feels a sense of community. He’s surrounded himself with friends who are like family, has a job he loves, and owns a spectacular beachfront property that is his sanctuary.

Yet he still feels unfulfilled, as if a piece of the puzzle is missing, and he knows exactly which piece it is. On an impulse, he follows through with a promise he made years earlier. A promise to call home the one he sent away.

Nothing is as simple as it seems.

After years of separation, the former lovers are reunited, but Brantley wasn’t expecting to encounter the high walls now guarding Daniel’s heart.

Daniel may not be the same person he was when he left, but he knows that the first step to healing is the note in his hand.

Seven years ago 23-year-old Finn left Florida and the love of his young life: Brantley.
But not really of his own free will. His professor aka the love of his young life Brantley, told him to leave, to go to Chicago and become the best lawyer he can be. He only wanted what's best for him.
And he left. Even though it was not Brantley's decision to make... he left...and never came back.
But now he's being called back.... with this one little note Brantley dares to call him back home...

It's time to come home, Finn.

....for what?? A second chance at a happily ever after? Hasn't too much time gone by for that? Finn is not the young and happy surfer boy anymore. He's grown up a lot. He's a respected lawyer in the big city now.

...he'd become cynical, hardened, and tough.

But Brantley misses him - he always hoped that there would be a future for them...he's not getting any younger. He's almost 40 now and he finally wants to settle down with the one who got away - even if he was the one who sent him away....

But even though Finn comes back home - he's only going to stay for two weeks.
To get Brantley out of his system once and for all...
But of course he didn't count on all those damn feelings.....

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO Finn & Brantley???
WILL there be A HEA???
WILL THERE BE A HORRIBLE CLIFFHANGER?

I'm not telling you that of course

eeeeeeep ...another Ella Frank m/m romance????
HELL YES!!! I loved Logan & Tate sooo much.
I had to do a little re-read to find Finley in their books, even though he wasn't all that important ;)

I just LOVED Finn & Brantley from the very beginning of the book....
Finn, the hot ex-surfing beach boy lawyer from Chicago...

....and the sexy, older, hottie Professor Brantley...

Ugh, total fangirl-alert!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm usually not a huge fan of the teacher-student romance. And Finn is 9 years younger than his Professor...BUT, even though we get lots of back-in-time scenes, this story is of course set in the present, and Finn is already 30, so it's not anywhere close to being illegal or anything. Not that there was anything illegal between them 11 years ago! ☺☺☺

We have sooo many adorable scenes in this book.
And funny scenes and romantic scenes, very sexy/erotic scenes....

I absolutely LOVED Finn & Brantley's story!
Can't wait for more..... Jordan maybe?? ☺☺☺

A few tiny little PERSONAL things that bothered me a bit...
First - I hate Florida :/ Reading Florida romances always makes me hot - and not in a good way - just thinking or reading about Florida has me all sweaty and humid and ugh - nope!
Second...and again, a very personal problem, because I'm just too easily confused.
Maybe it's because both Finley and Brantley are guys and also because Finn goes by Finn & Daniel - but whenever the words HE, HIS, HIM were mentioned, I was sooo confused as to who it was they were talking about :/ It should be totally clear because you should know who is talking at that moment, but I was just totally confused by all those HIS & HIM's ☺☺☺
Third - the cover - while I kinda love it - it's a bit too darkish for a Florida romance - it looks a bit more like a vampire sports romance thingy ☺
BUT - the story was absolutely adorable!!!!!

FiNLEY was an amazingly beautiful and sunny second chance romance! READ. IT. NOW. You'll so fall in love with Finn & Brantley - and of course with the mom and the muscle guy and Posh Spice Jordan, too ☺☺☺

ARC received for an honest review

I may have done the "Carlton" when I woke up to find Finley waiting on my kindle.  A new m/m romance from Ella Frank is a joy!

I admit that I didn't remember Finn from the Temptation series - though he really did only play a small, small part in Logan and Tate's story.  But even if you haven't read Try/Take/Trust (why haven't you?) it doesn't matter.

Oh Brantley and Finn - how I adored  you.  I love a good second chance romance, and that is exactly what you got with Finley.

7 years down the track from their breakup, Brantley contacts Finn and tells him to come home.

And from there on, things heat up - and not just because they are in Florida.

The best thing about their story is that they didn't just jump back into bed with each other, everything forgiven.  There was anger, hurt, trust that needed to be regained.  And as much as there was heat and sparks between them, their "re-relationshipping" was a slow burn (even though I really really really wanted them to get to the sexy times!)

There was just one problem I had with Finley.  I had trouble with which character was talking to us at the time.  I had to go back over what I had just read to see who's POV we were in. I normally don't have that problem with the differeing POV's but this time they just didn't have distinct enough voices that I could determine who's head I was in.

There are some great secondary characters - who I am hoping hoping hoping are going to be our leading men in the next book - Jordan and Derek.  It sure does seem that their story is going to be interesting.

Finley is a steamy, beautiful story of love, the one that got away, the one that came back.  I enjoyed it from the first word to the last, and can't wait to see what the next book brings us.

Please Ms Frank, let it be Jordan and Derek!

LiNKS TO THE BOOKs & AUTHOR

If you haven't read the #Temptation series - DO IT NOW!!! (you don't need to, but believe me, you do NOT want to miss meeting Logan & Tate!!!)

Also - you'll meet Finn a few times at a club and as Tate's lawyer ;)
