From New York Times and USA Today Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new novel.

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby
screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don’t date players.
And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I’d date an athlete.
It’s the other kind of player I don’t date.
You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.

Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let’s face it. It never is.
There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after

And this one is ours.

26-year old Delilah grew up loving football. Her dad played for the NY Steel, and since there's no female football league in the US, she did the next best thing, she became a sports journalist.
Her first night as a reporter for her TV channel takes her into the locker room of the Steel.
Enter:
BRODY EASTON

Quarterback superstar and the most horrible flirt she has ever met.
Every sentence out of his mouth is a sexual innuendo.

"You said liquor and all I heard was 'lick her'."

She's very attracted, but she thinks she should date a safer guy, like her boss Michael.
But she just can't resist Brody's charms.

But can a relationship work when one is a reporter and the other a football player?
When one has only ever had one serious relationship in his life?
When one or both have secret, sad and complicated past love lives, or not-so-past ones?

Something happens - a combination of things - that might tear our darlings apart, before their together life ever really started....

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO DELiLAH & BRODY??
WiLL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEiR HEA?
WiLL THERE BE A HORRiBLE CLiFFHANGER???

I'm not telling you that of course...

This book was amazing!
I laughed sooo much in the beginning.
Brody is just so hilariously #LOL funny.
Every word he says is sexy as hell.
But he's not only this sexy superstar.
He's also a very caring and sweet guy with a sad and complicated past that we can only guess at in the beginning. And of course with all that's happening, I didn't laugh all through the book, there are some verrrry moving and sad and frustrating and exciting moments too.

And Delilah.
She's supposed to be the tough journalist, but she just can't resist Brody.
Even though she tries for almost half the book!
It's adorable to watch them on their way to their HEA!

But then something happens - and it's a bit heartbreaking to watch this play out - we can only hope that we'll get our HEA in the end. ☺

THE BALLER was an amazingly adorable and funny and sexy and moving romance! I loved watching them flirt and fight and suffer their way to their Happy Ever After!
Don't let yourself be fooled by this amazing sexy cover - Brody is so much more than that - the book is so much more than that.

There were some things I didn't love about the book.
First - the cover. I LOVED the cover the first time I saw it. But it's a bit misleading.
You start reading, expecting this sexy, cute football romance. And you get all that (even though it's not really sexy enough for my tastes!☺), but then what happens in the middle of the book, takes us into a complete different direction. I didn't much like that direction at the time. A 3rd POV suddenly appears, and I hate that - especially in Thrillers with the killers suddenly talking - not that this is a thriller...☺ but still... not my favorite. The 3rd POV could've been told from other POVs too. Now, yes, after I'm done reading, I loved the book and everything about it. But back then, when I came to that change, I wanted to stop reading :/ It's probably only me being weird. ☺ Don't let me stop you from enjoying this great story!!

ARC received for an honest review

The Baller is the first Vi Keeland book I have read - yes I know, I am way behind the times!

What a sweet, sexy and at times extremely emotional story The Baller is.

I loved Brody from the minute he dropped towel!  Had a feeling there was more to him than a super-hot bad boy, and was there what!

Delilah is trying to make it in the mysogynistic boys club that is sports reporting.  The last thing she wants is a relationship with Brody, having her professionalism called into doubt.

But man oh man, the spark between them is undeniable, and I loved the banter between them.  The text messages, the looks across the locker room.  Slowly but surely, they are on their way to a HEA.

The book is told in dual POV for most of the books, which I liked. However, just over half way through, another POV was introduced which I felt interrupted the flow of the book.

The character with the 3rd POV is an integral part of the story, however I don't think we needed their POV, I felt that we could have gotten their story through Brody and Delilah's POVs.  But this could just be me, it might not bother you.

I laughed, I got angry, I got upset for our lovelies, and enjoyed the journey I was taken on.  Brody and Delilah's story was complicated, funny and adorable.  It dealt with some deeper things rather than just two people falling in love.

Now I need to go kick myself for not reading her earlier work.
