14-year-old Audrey is the middle child in a slightly 'crazy' & annoying family.
Her older brother Frank is - more or less - a computer-game addict.
Her baby brother might have already started to become addicted to Candy Crush ... and/or Nutella ☺
Her mom is addicted to the Daily Mail and everything it says. And poor Dad Chris just tries to blend into the background.
And then there's Audrey.
There's been an incident at school a few months back, and ever since then she hasn't been back to school - she has barely been out of the house. Even at home she's wearing dark sun glasses.
She's got social anxiety disorder and general anxiety disorder... basically, she's scared of people - even of making eye-contact with her family.
'How can I go to school? How can I do anything? What if I'm like this for ever?'
But then her brother's gaming-buddy Linus comes along...
And after she ran away scared the first time she saw him, he wants to apologize, thinking it was his fault.
And they start talking - well more like communicating via notes....but she's getting better with his help.
'You'll be in the dark for as long as it takes and then you'll come out.'
Maybe he's really the one who will be able to help her.
But will he be able to get her to go to Starbucks with him? Like her Therapist challenged her to??

What will happen to Audrey & Linus?
Will Audrey get better?
Will there be a HEA?
Will everybody die at the end? o.O
Or will there be a horrible Cliffhanger?

I'm not telling you that of course ...☺
I don't want to spoil anything ☺ !
____________________________________________________________When I requested this book on Netgalley I had no idea it would be a Young Adult thing. I just saw Sophia Kinsella and I had to get it. I just loooooooved her Becky-The-Shopping-Addict books ☺
BUT - even though I usually don't read YA - I really loved this one.
Audrey's family is soooo amazingly and funnily and annoyingly insane!
I don't want to insult anyone by using the words insane or crazy...I mean them in the most positive way!
I loved the family!!!
You don't know who would win the prize for 'The Most Crazy Family Member'.
Crazy Mum Anne, who follows all the Daily Mail's tips like they're laws!
Poor Dad who just tries to survive his crazy family.
Gaming-Addict Frank who just wants to win those 6 million dollars in that gaming event.
Or the officially 'crazy' Audrey with all her anxieties?
They were all just adorable!!!
'...and honestly, I love them to bits, but could my family be any more annoying?'
Even though the book talks about a serious thing - Audrey's anxieties and disorders et cetera - it was still, in the typical Sophie Kinsella way - amazingly funny!
But also really moving and it was interesting to see how a young girl can suffer from all those anxiety disorders and who wants to fight her way out of them.
I loved every minute of this story!!!
FINDING AUDREY was a really hilarious & cute & serious Young Adult romance/dramedy - Go get it!☺
♥ I LOVED IT ♥
