4.5 Stars

Half-Life bassist Krist Mellas is caught in a PR nightmare after his dirty sex video blew up online. His agent has the solution: a fake engagement with sultry pop princess Madeline Fox. Krist cant think of anything worse than a charade with the bubblegum bombshellexcept losing the band.

Madeline knows better than anyone what it means to live a lie in the spotlight. She's determined to help Krist without ever letting him find out what it costs her—or about her girlhood crush on him. But after a smoking hot back alley encounter with him leaves her breathless, she can't deny she wants the snarling bad-boy rocker.

In a world of glitter and diamonds where the kisses are fake but the climaxes are real, their facades start to crack. And the publicity storm may shatter them both.

WARNING: This book contains a scorching threesome, a dirty talking pop princess, and a surly rocker who hits all the right notes.

Before you start reading this book, please read the first one in the series!!
There's lots of talk about whatever happened in book #1.
This one is called a standalone, so it's not strictly necessary, but I would recommend it!

One Kiss With A Rockstar is about 'Half-Life' bassist Krist Mellas and pop princess Maddie.
Krist has gotten his band, but more importantly himself in quite some trouble when a threesome of him with his bandmate Lock and Lock's girl has been published online.
Now his agent is trying everything to get him out of the unfortunate bi-sexual spotlight ...

Enter: pop princess Maddie, who's not as princessy as the world thinks - it's all an act. But she wants to help Krist, because she's had a crush on him forever. And he owes her.
Their agent comes up with the best idea ever (not).... they have to pretend to be engaged ☺

NOPE - I'm not telling you ☺

Give me a Navy SEAL or a Rockstar and I'm totally #Fangirling

I just wish someone had told me to read book #1 first :/
But it was ok - it's not like you don't understand what happenend in book one - I'm just sad I missed this whole man on man loving thing ☺☺☺

Oy - Krist (Stupid name right?? Especially for someone as anti-religion as me!!!)
But he's soooo hot and he's a rockstar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have lots of verrry sexy scenes with one and more girls ☺
(I'm personally more into the one or more GUYS thing - but pfff it was still hot!)

I liked the way Krist & Maddie acted with each other.
And I liked all the other characters - the band members and assistants etc.
But I didn't like/get the whole idea of the book... you have this guy - this ROCK STAR - who was caught on camera giving a guy a blowjob and the PR people come up with the idea to get him engaged to a pop princess girly girl? Who in their right minds would believe that it's not only an act to take the focus off the whole gay thing? It was totally weird. And if I had been in Krist's shoes, I would've told them all to go to hell, he doesn't need PR people to tell him how to live his life! It's none of their business and if they fire him or kill the band - he can still make music on his own.
Well - but I still liked how everything played out - it might have been a bit fast and weird how Krist is suddenly in love with her or how she's in love with him and how she wants to dominate him in the bedroom?? Totally not my thing...the male submissive...but pfff - like I said - I liked the story.
But I think I would've liked the first book more ☺

If you love Rock Stars and if you don't mind a bit of bi-sexual-hotness in your romances - you'll love OKWAR ♥

ARC received for an honest review

Anyone who has read my reviews knows that I am a sucker for a rock star.

I had previously read the first book in this series, Three Nights With A Rock Star, so I was happy to receive the second book in this series, One Kiss With A Rock Star

Although this is the second in the series, there is enough back story that you could read this as a standalone and not feel that you are missing too much.

We first met Krist in the first book, where he was quite heavily interweaved into the the story of Lock and Hailey.  And I have to tell you, I always liked Krist more than Lock.  There was something about him that just got to me.

And I was not disappointed with Krist's story - at all!

In the aftermath of what happened in the first book (which you will find out quite early on in the piece if you don't read it), Krist is at a bit of a loose end.  Enter Madeline Fox, pop goddess extraordinaire and seemingly the answer to all his PR nightmares - but is she?

I loved the chemistry between Krist and Maddy - even when he couldn't stand her there was more behind the dislike than meets the eye.  The air around these two is combustible, just waiting for that spark to set it all alight.

And when it start- man oh man is it hot hot HOT!!  Seriously hot.  Melt the paint off the walls as you are a fly on it hot!!

I hated the way the PR machine manipulated both Krist and Maddy, but especially Krist.  My heart broke for him over and over as things happened that were out of his hands.  And all the while I was just hoping that this pair would get their act together and realise this wasn't all there was to them.

I loved the banter between Maddy and Krist - even when they were sniping at each other with meanness, there was still affection behind it all.

Do they get there HEA?  Will the media tear them apart?  Will their careers make it through this minefield?

Uh uh, for that you are going to read for yourself.

I love that we got more more of Krist's bandmates Lock and Moe, and am really looking forward to Moe's story - it is going to be one heck of a ride we are taken on with him!!

So if you are after a book about sexy rockstars, not so pure pop stars and a love that no one expects - give One Kiss With a Rock Star a try.

Shari Slade is a snarky optimist. A would-be academic with big dreams and very little means. When she isn’t toiling away in the non-profit sector, she’s writing gritty stories about identity and people who make terrible choices in the name of love (or lust). Somehow, it all works out in the end. If she had a patronus it would be a platypus.
