A dangerous alliance between a Vampyre bride and an Alpha Werewolf becomes a love deep enough to sink your teeth into in this new paranormal romance from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Love, Theoretically and The Love Hypothesis.

Misery Lark, the only daughter of the most powerful Vampyre councilman of the Southwest, is an outcast—again. Her days of living in anonymity among the Humans are over: she has been called upon to uphold a historic peacekeeping alliance between the Vampyres and their mortal enemies, the Weres, and she sees little choice but to surrender herself in the exchange—again...

Weres are ruthless and unpredictable, and their Alpha, Lowe Moreland, is no exception. He rules his pack with absolute authority, but not without justice. And, unlike the Vampyre Council, not without feeling. It’s clear from the way he tracks Misery’s every movement that he doesn’t trust her. If only he knew how right he was….

Because Misery has her own reasons to agree to this marriage of convenience, reasons that have nothing to do with politics or alliances, and everything to do with the only thing she's ever cared about. And she is willing to do whatever it takes to get back what’s hers, even if it means a life alone in Were territory…alone with the wolf.

Misery + Lowe

In this world Vampyres, Weres and Humans know of each other. And hate each other.
To stop another huge war between everyone Vampyre Misery is sent to the Weres to marry their Alpha Lowe.
Misery only agreed to her father's demand because she is looking for her bestie Serena. Who has disappeared and who, it seems, was investigating Misery's dear new husband.

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN ...

I'm not a huge paranormal romance fan. But this was an Ali Hazelwood book - so I had to read it.
And it was okay. As far as Vampire thingies goes... it was good. In the end I really liked it.
I think I still prefer a Vampire-romance world where humans don't know about Vampires instead of this complicated world Ali has created here. It's all a bit silly and violent and intriguey and whatnot. Well, anything with supernatural creatures is silly. But I prefer the more peaceful and ignorant world. You know, the one where Vampires can run super fast and maybe dematerialize from one point to another. Where they don't kill innocents. Just a happy Vampire falls for a human world.
BUT! I still liked this book!
Misery has been through a lot in her short life and now she has to live amongst enemies - again. Poor girl.
And Lowe. He's top ten book boyfriend material. Poor guy is kinda super attracted to his enemy wife. She smells like.... something.
It was a really interesting world. Mysterious. Exciting. Suspensy. Dangerous. Sparky and sexy and funny too.
I really liked this more and more as I was reading.
And I so need another book for another couple!
I also wouldn't mind watching this as a movie or a Netflix show!

BRIDE was a fun and exciting and mysterious and just beautiful Vampire / Werewolf Romance!
Run to your nearest book seller for your own Lowe - he'll be sold out in no time!
