That was ... something.

I loved reading it. I loved seeing our darlings again. But it was also so very sad and heartbreaking and dark and hopeless. But of course we also hope all through the book that we'll all end up happily on our island again in the end.

Who knows... I'm not telling you.😎

The other two books were very dark and murdery already, but I had the feeling that there were a tiny bit too many torture and bloody moments this time. I don't like mafia books in general - if I read one, I need to really love the bad criminal guy to love the story. And I do love our two guys so much - but they were a tiny bit too sociopathic-happily-tortury for my tastes this time.

But still - I loved reading it. It was exciting, dangerous, suspensy, mysterious and of course also adorable and funny and super sexy!

This is a really great dark romantic series!

I really need a Miami/St. Lucia-based TV show now please!

Tiny little rant - as always when a British author writes American characters - it's one of my book weirdnesses. Jodi is British. Our heroes are British. All perfectly fine. BUT... our heroines are not British. So I would've wished for an American editor to fix all of the girls' British words and expressions - and there are a lot! Especially the ALRIGHT or OKAY question that an American would never ask without an are you or just a you. But don't worry, I'm the only one bothered by that!

Some of you might want to know if there will be a happy end this time... and I can't tell you that - it would totally ruin your reading pleasure. But ... no. Ugh. But... Hm.
Maybe I could say that we haven't heard the last from this world?!? Was that too spoilery already? Or I could say what my face looked like after reading the last page? → 😱
