The first rule of office romance is don’t do itespecially if your dream is to hold the anchor spot on the nightly news and your boss is trying to get you fired.

But one look at Cade Hill, the sexy new sports director, and uptight reporter Rebecca Fieldstone is daydreaming about other things.

Sex in his office

Sex in the on-set kitchen

Sex in the supply closet

She can’t stop thinking about the former NFL quarterback and how perfect he’d look between her sheets
except hes an arrogant jerk with a huge...ego.

the last guy she’d ever have a one-night stand with.

Cade Hill draws a thick professional line on office romance
until it comes to the hyper-focused Rebecca. He wants her, and he gets his wish when a chance encounter has them having the hottest sex of their lives.

It’s just a hook-up,
 she says.
When can we do it again?
 he says.

With Rebecca determined to keep Cade in the friend zone, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Cade to convince her that he’s
 the last guy for her

Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise, coming June 12, 2017!

It features Fireball-fueled hookups, Doritos Locos Tacos, attack monkeys, toddlers in tiaras, and one fabulous drag queen.

Prepare for frantic clicking and smoking-hot sexytimes all the way to the out-of-this-world happily-ever-after.

Rebecca Fieldstone is 28. She's been trying to get the news anchor spot at the top Houston TV station for years. And now she's almost too old. Botox was mentioned!!! They want to move her behind the camera - to production! Her boss doesn't like her - he likes the fresh-out-of-college 23-year-old, size zero girl.

And then there's the super-hot former pro football god Cade Hill ...

... the new sports anchor. He likes her. She likes him. They are amazing together in bed and out. But both don't want anything serious. And a relationship between them could destroy her career completely. Also there's his horrible and clinging ex and Rebecca's jealousy and so many other things standing in the way.

This was such a great romantic comedy. With a bit of drama and excitement. LOTS of sexy moments and cute moments. I loved it. I wouldn't mind seeing it on TV one day. It's a bit Sandra Bullock-ish! ☺

Cade is such a sweet guy. He doesn't want another long-term thing after his ex left him for someone else. But the more time he spends with this frustrating reporter woman - the more he changes his mind about a white picket fence future! Sooo adorable!

And poor Rebecca - she only ever wanted this news anchor job. But suddenly everything seems to fall apart, and Cade is the only real thing in her life....but she doesn't trust easily...

Of course we have some of those - in most romances unavoidable - unnecessary drama moments in here too. I don't really like those. You know the ones? Where there's a lie or a not-telling-the-other-everything or a misunderstanding. Things like that. We fight, break up, bla bla - and get back together at the end. I wish authors wouldn't do this typical thing so much. Find other problems our darlings could face. No idea what, but there has to be something other than unnecessary drama. ☺

Another thing I didn't love was the mention of sooo many 'pop-culture' things. Things/shows I have never heard of watched. Like the Kardashians and the Drag Race and The Office. That was a bit too much!

BUT - I still really loved Cade & his Stone and the story!!! I also love a story that's told in both the hero and heroine's POV! And we have a really adorable and funny supporting cast!

THE LAST GUY was such an adorable #RomCom! Verrrry sexy, funny & sweet! Run to your nearest amazon asap, you will not waste your hard-earned money reading this sweet & sexy romance! Also, you need to buy your own Cade - this one is MINE! ☺

ARC received for an honest review

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up The Last Guy.  I find the writing collaborations can go either way - they can flow seamlessly, or they can feel jumpy.

The Last Guy is the first, you wouldn't know that it was two different authors writing the POVs

Rebecca and Cade are great in this office romance (with a bit of enemies to lovers thrown in for good measure)

They say you shouldn't dip your nib in the office ink, but there is just something about Cade, the sexy new sports guy that Rebecca can't stop thinking about - though not always in a sexy manner!

Cade - gosh, what a sweetie this guy is.  He is cute and adorable and totally doable! I love not only what he does for his "Stone" Rebecca, but for what other things he does.

No, it may be just that I have binge watched 7 seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race, but I loved the referenced to it throughout the book.

I did get a little fed up with a secondary character - or two - that kept popping up and causing trouble for our duo.  And then one or the other of the duo going off half-cocked about the troublemakers.  It just felt a little superfluous after the first few times.

But that probably just bothers me.

The Last Guy is cute and sweet and sexy, and it made me want a big burly footballer of my own.

Fight you for him -  I win!
