What if Romeo wore hockey skates, and Juliet was raised on a farm next door?

As a life-long Vermonter, there are three beliefs I’ve always held true:

1. Our family farm is everything

2. Hockey is a close second

3. The Todds next door are our sworn enemies

But this season will test everything I stand for.

I have an illicit side job that could cost me my hockey scholarship. And now Maggie Todd knows my secret. She’s waiting for the right moment to use it against me. But every time I face off against her, I learn things I shouldn’t want to know. Like how deeply her competitive streak runs, and how sexy that is. And how easy it is to make her blush everywhere.

An Adler and a Todd cannot be lovers. Breaking that rule is like pulling a pin on a grenade--everything in my life could blow up. Can we surrender to these feelings or will our families feud make us its next casualty?

Yaaaaass b*tches! We're back in the True North-verse, and I can't get enough!

And not only are we in Shipley-land, we are in hockey land too!

This is Romeo & Julietish - without the murder and suicide and all that.

They say fighting is foreplay, which means the Maggie and Tate are gonna go off!  I love that they love to hate each other, even if they don't know why.

I adore how they can't keep their eyes, or hands off each other. I love how they defy their families to be together

And don't get me started on their families.  I have never loathes characters as much as I loathe Tate and Maggie's grandpas.  They are despicable human beings to men and I just wanted them gone from the book

But this is probably just me.

I did like that we got to see some of the others we will learn more of in the moo U universe, however I was looking forward to more hockey, as I have loved Ms Denault's hockey books in the past, but I alo loved te farm-verse we have come to know and love.

Now right on to book 2

We're in Burlington, Vermont!
Maggie and Tate grew up hating each other. Their families, especially their grandfathers have always hated each other.
Unfortunately they have to see a lot of each other. Both families run neighboring farms and Maggie and Tate are going to the same college.
And now that Maggie found out about Tate's secret, she blackmails him into letting her family have half of the much coveted farmstand every weekend.

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!!

That was adorable!
A fun and crazy and farmy and hockey-y enemies-to-lovers romance! I just loved reading it!
Maggie and Tate hate each other so much - even though they have no idea why.
But they do. Of course there's also mega attraction - which makes everything even harder. LOL!
I loved it.
But it's not all hate-to-love fun. We also have some serious farm-family-business stuff to deal with - on both sides. I was on the edge of my seat hoping this would all end well for everyone!

Great start into this new True North World that Sarina Bowen created. But what did we expect, right?!

I could read these kinds of books every day for the rest of eternity!

I also wouldn't mind seeing this whole world on Netflix one day!

Can't wait to get more Vermont soon!

BLINDSIDED was such an adorable + funny + hate-y + hockey-y + college-y + farmy enemies-to-lovers romance!!! I loved reading it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Tate - he'll be sold out in no time!

I’m banished to Vermont for a scandal that wasn’t my fault, and broke because my famous father cut me off. And did I mention my roommate stole my boyfriend? Yeah, I’m loving my Moo U experience.

Now I need a job, because this gel manicure won’t upkeep itself. The only available option is the last one I’d ever want--a job as the hockey team’s equipment manager. My plan is to do the bare minimum, get paid, and find my way back into my father’s good graces.

I will not get involved with a hockey player, no matter how hot. They’re cocky. And obnoxious. I know their type, and I’m not willing to risk getting hurt again. Until Lex Vonne glides into my life looking like sin on a stick.

He thinks I’m a spoiled brat.

I think he’s using me to get ahead.

But the fire I feel when we’re together is like a slapshot to my heart

Just as the new NHL season is ramping up, so is my reading of my hockey hotties.

I loved that this second installment of the Moo U series focuses more on the hockey side of the things, more than that farm side (don't get me wrong, I love all the Vermonty-farmy stuff, but the hockey has my heart 💜)

Lex is just all kinds of swoony.  How any girl can resist him is beyond me.  And our girl Kaitlyn tries.

And lord, did she try me! More and more as I read, I wanted to pull her aside ad tell her to pull her to remove head from sphincter!  Sheesh, she frustrated me, and I was yelling at my reader for Lex to run, run away!

But as much as I wanted him to run, I needed them to get their HEA.

I loved seeing more of the hockey players, and there are more than a couple that I need to see more of in my future.

We're in Burlington, Vermont again!
Kaitlyn just started at Moo U - after being thrown out of her old New York school. And her famous hockey legend dad stopped giving her spending money until she gets her life on track again. So she needs a job.
And she finds it working as the equipment manager for the hockey team. She hates hockey! And hockey players. And Lex.
But of course she doesn't really hate the rookie - there's  huge attraction on both sides.
But she thinks he only wants to get to her dad through her ...

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!!

Adorable.
It was so sweet to see how Lex tries to fight his way through Kaitlyn's fears and prejudices against hockey players. And of course she can't resist for very long. But we don't get our insta happy end ... obviously. There are still some things to overcome and fight through.
I loved reading it. Very hockey-y, college-y enemies-ish-to-lovers romance!

Great 2nd book in Sarina Bowen's new True North World!

I could read these kinds of books every day for the rest of eternity!

I also wouldn't mind seeing this whole world on Netflix one day!

Can't wait to get more Vermont soon!

SLAPSHOT was an adorable hockey-ish enemies-ish-to-lovers romance!!! I loved reading it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Lex - he'll be sold out in no time!

Jonah Daniels has enough work preparing for his hockey season without spending time interviewing a roommate to help share expenses. So when some dude answers J.D.’s ad and agrees to his terms, he puts a key under the mat and leaves for practice.

What he doesn’t expect is that his new roommate is not a dude at all, but an overtalkative, energetic hottie. What’s worse? She’s the younger sister of his friend on the team, and she’s sworn him to secrecy.

Ryann Reiner needs a place to live, stat. After an incident at the dorms that almost tanked her scholarship, Ryann wants a boring roommate who’ll leave her alone. J.D. almost fits the bill. He lives and breathes hockey, just like her brother, and he wouldn’t know a joke unless it hip checked him against the boards.

He’s also gorgeous. And broody. And he looks fine on laundry day, in too little clothing. Soon, late-night study sessions turn into dangerous flirting. And then a kiss turns into more. But they’re determined to keep things in the feelings-free zone.

Until lines blur and tensions rise when Ryann’s brother learns the truth. And both their hearts are skating on thin ice...

Book 3 of the #MooU series, and I said it after book2, however Holdout was my favourite of the series.

Jonah and Ryann's story was fun from the start. Their forbidden (by others, not themselves) relationship is full of fun and flirty banter, longing looks and sexual tension you could cut with a knife 🗡🗡🗡

We know from the first initial mix up to the end that this off limits thing is never going to work, and boy was it fun to watch them fall in love.

We also had a few sad bits that pulled at the heart strings.

Gah, this series.  I need more of it. I mean, there are always news players coming onto the team, so we could surely get another 8 or 9 years out of it, right?

I have really enjoyed finding some new to me authors through this series, and can't wait to see what comes next in the World of True North.

Book #3 in the Moo U series.
Jonah and Ryann.
He needs a roommate and she needs a place to live.
He thinks Ryan with one N is a boy. But she has two Ns. LOL.
Plus she's the very off-limits little sister of his team captain.
But they just click. They have so much in common ... and are very attracted to each other ... but we can stay just friends, right?

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!!

So cute.
Funny, sweet and heartbreaking. Colleg-y and hockey-y.
I loved reading this.
The whole roommate situation and the off-limits teammate's sister thing. We just know that it's not going to work without them falling for each other. LOL!

I could read these kinds of books every day for the rest of eternity!

I also wouldn't mind seeing this whole world on Netflix one day!

Can't wait to get more Vermont soon!

HOLDOUT was such an adorable + funny hockey-y + college-y accidental-roommate romance!!! I loved reading it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Jonah - he'll be sold out in no time!
