From Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes a new stand-alone romance with all the feels.
What happens when you make a pact with your boys to stay single and never fall in love?
Well, you get the Playboy Pact.
We were friends, her and I.
Best friends.
It was easy.
Simple.
Comfortable.
That was our dynamic.
We had a system.
An understanding.
An unspoken arrangement.
We
were there for each other through thick and thin. We had an unbreakable
bond. Nobody understood our friendship. Because a guy and a girl
couldn’t just be best friends without emotions getting involved, right?
Without noticing, everything shifted, and I was experiencing all these new feelings…
Jealousy.
Possessiveness.
She’s mine.
Yeah…
For the first time in my life, Mila wasn’t merely a girl I trusted and hung out with on a regular basis.
She had become…
…the woman I was in love with.
ARC received for an honest review
I have been on the M Robinson train since her first release, and I will read everything she writes.
The Kiss is her first foray into the rom-com market, and whilst I enjoyed the story, it didn't really have a rom-com feel to me.
Don't get me wrong, there were times when I did laugh otu loud, but to me, this was more like her regular stories, but in the angst-light category (if you have read any of her tales before, you know how they are angsty AF).
I also got a vibe like the Good Ol' Boys series, with the friendships between the guys and the girl.
Except these guys didn't really mature as the got older (to me anyways). They were still acting like teenage boys snickerig about sex all the time, which got a little tiresome for this old duck.
I do love a best friends to lovers story, and I loved how everyone could see it but Mila and Leo - and even loved the ways they tried to get them to remove their heads from sphincters and go for it.
Whilst not my favourite M. Robinson book to date, it was a good read, it just missed the rom-com mark for me.
Now I need the other guys books, STAT!
When M isn't in the cave writing her next epic love story, you will find her
shopping and living on a boat in Florida with her real life pirate, her
lobster, her husband Bossman. Sipping on Starbucks and hanging out with their
two dogs, a German shepherd mix and a gordito Wheaten Terrier reading a good
book. Or spending time with her family, who she is extremely close with.
Above all, M loves her readers more than anything and loves to connect with
them! She is on all social media platforms but you will find her in her happy
place the most. Her VIP Reader Group on Facebook or her second favorite happy
place, Instagram.
