standalone Hollywood/Hockey/Pastry Romance. LOL!
but we meet characters from the previous book: Dear Enemy

4.9 Stars

From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Callihan comes a charming, emotional romance about redefining dreams and discovering unlikely love along the way.

Life for Emma isn’t good. The world knows her as Princess Anya on Dark Castle, but then her character gets the axeliterally. The cherry on top is finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman. She needs a break, and sanctuary comes in the form of Rosemont, a gorgeous estate in California promising rest and relaxation.

Then she meets the owner’s equally gorgeous grandson, exhockey player and current recluse Lucian Osmond, and she sees her own pain and yearning reflected in his eyes.

He’s charming when he wants to be but also secretive and gruff, with protective walls as thick as Emma’s own. Despite a growing attraction, they avoid each other.

But then there’s an impromptu nighttime skinny-dip, and Lucian’s luscious homemade tarts and cream cakes start arriving at Emma’s door, tempting her to taste life again

In trying to stay apart, they only grow closerand their broken pieces just might fit together and make them whole.

Emma + Lucian.
Emma has been the star of a famous tv show for three years now. But suddenly her character has been killed off.
Lucian was a famous hockey pro. Until one too many concussions ended his career.
Both Emma and Lucian now reside in Amalie's Monecito haven.
Amalie is Lucian's grandma and besties with Emma's grandma.
Both Emma and Lucian are there to heal and to find hope for their future. Grandma Amalie's main interest is ... playing matchmaker! LOL!

What will happen with Emma & Lucian??
Will there be a Happy End??

Such a sweet and sparky and funny and heartbreaking love story!
I just LOVED it!
I loved the whole atmosphere of it. Beautiful Montecito. Pastries all over the place - being made by our ultra-hot hero. Adorable and funny and sparky and bantery moments. Hilarious co-stars - aka grandma and Sal!
Of course our darlings also have very sad and hard moments. Lucian's grief about not being able to play hockey anymore. And Emma with her bunch of not very ideal ex boyfriends and her pretty hard childhood and her fear of not getting any good job offers anymore.
But the cute moments overshadow all the negative stuff and we just love watching them argue their way to that happy end!
I just loved reading this. I want to move into that place and have Lucian bake and cook for me all day long!
I also loved that we got to see Saint & Delilah from Dear Enemy again!
I so need to see this on Netflix one day!

MAKE IT SWEET was such a beautiful and adorable and funny and delicious love story. Run to your nearest amazon for your own Lucian - he'll be sold out in no time!
