• Brooklyn Bruisers Hockey Series #5
Everyone knows the girl is off limits. But it's so good to be bad.
There’s this girl...
Heidi and I have been trading hungry looks all year, and everything she does makes me smile. But I don't do girlfriends, and I certainly can't get involved with the league commissioner's daughter. I need shots on goal, not a hookup and a widely misunderstood paparazzi photo.
Can I resist her, though? The way she teases me should be a game penalty for interference with my libido.
There’s this guy…
Jason wants me, but he won’t admit it. That man looks at me the way a hockey player eyes the lunch buffet after practice—and I love it.
But when victory is finally within my grasp, I blow it and humiliate myself. Even then I can’t even avoid him—as the team intern, I’m in constant view of his hard body and cocky smile.
I need another chance. Jason Castro is about to learn the true meaning of an overnight sensation.
ARC received for an honest review
I love love love the Brooklyn Bruisers series, and I was absolutely certain that no on could come close to my love for Nate, though I will now say that Jason Castro gave him a bit of a run for his money in the race for my affections.
Heidi and Jason's love story is just delicious. It is smart, it is sexy and it is emotional.
Our lovelies have been circling each other, but he's that guy who doesn't do the relationship thing, and she's the girl who is (or at least should be) off limits.
Yet that just makes them all the more attractive to each other.
Gah, I just can't with how much I adored this book.
I am a huge hockey fan, so the more books I get get set in the hockey world, the better I say.
I think that Ms Bowen needs to keep this series going forever and ever - I mean, there are always trades, retirements and players getting called up from the farm teams, right?
I wish I could read Overnight Sensation again for the first time!
I can't wait to see where this series goes next.

I have to admit that I only read 2 Brooklyn Bruisers books before this one. One was the one right before this one: Brooklynaire - which I loved! And then I obviousely read the amazing True North Series - of which Bountiful had a Bruisers player in it too! ☺
So now here is Heidi and Jason's book.
I really love Heidi! With her adorable accent! I tried reading her scenes in an accent - very talent-free I have to admit! ☺
And Castro is just as adorable! Poor guy. So attracted to this off-limits girl!
I love his friendship with his room mate Silas. Can't wait to get his book with the pop star!!!
And as if Heidi being the daughter of the league's boss was not bad enough - poor Jason also has some sad mysteries in his past that make him think he will never fall in love again.
Plus he's not really playing his best hockey at the moment, but he really wants to stay with the team...
And poor Heidi? With her idiot daddy! She sooo wants Rebecca's old job working for the team, but her dad wants her to go back to college.
Lots and lots of things to overcome until we can ride off into a happily ever after sunset!

Such an adorable story!
I'm not the biggest hockey romance fan - that's why I'm so late to join this series!
But I really love what I've seen so far!
I love the team, the owners, the players, the atmosphere.
And of course Heidi and Jason. They so belong together, but it'll be really hard to get to that happy end!
But we love every second of their journey!
The book was funny, sad, heartbreaking, sweet, hockey-ish, Brooklyn-ish ... and so much more!
I'm sad to not have started this series with book #1 - I hope I'll find time to read them all one day! #MegaBusyReadingCalendarBloggerLife ☹
