• standalone dark romance
(but ... if you're weird like me, and like things in their proper order, you should read BEAST first - that's where Becca's bestie Henry finds her HEA with Dick ;) They're both in MERCY a lot!  getBook.at/BeastDA )

He taught me to kill. Murder is in my blood now. It runs through my veins and though I hide the monster I see in the mirror with ink, it doesn’t keep him from coming out.

My street name is Mercy, but I never show any. Except for her. I watch Becca, though she doesn’t know. She saved me a long time ago; the day my father killed my mother. Her bravery turned her into a target.

My father holds a grudge and knife with the same proficiency, and Becca is the focus of his hatred. And I’m the only monster who can save her.

15 years ago little Becca tried to protect little Fenix from his a**hole dad in a supermarket.
He never forgot that one bright moment in his childhood.
Even after all these years he's still looking out for her - she just doesn't know it.
He thinks she would run away screaming if she ever saw him.
He's tattooed all over - from head to toe.
He thinks he had to do it - he looked too much like his dad.
And if that wouldn't scare Becca away, his job would definitely do it.
He only takes the jobs were he can rescue a kid or save someone or something - but ... he's still basically a killer for hire ....
His dad also never forgot the name of the little girl who tried to get him arrested 15 years ago ...

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO BECCA & NIX?
WILL THERE BE A CHANCE FOR A HEA???
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT

Phew! I really loved it! I'm not a fan of tattoos! And poor Fenix is completely covered in them. Even his face. That was the only part about the book I didn't like. I understand why he did it, but ... I didn't love it.
But I loved him and Becca and their story.
It's a bit stalkerish, sooo adorably sweet, very exciting and suspensy and full of fear and love and hope. It was a great love story. A love story that started when they were little and never stopped. Even though only Fenix was living the love story as her stalker and protector all these years! Adorable! ☺
But now it's finally their time. We just have to hope that Becca can forgive his stalkerish behavior. And that she can live with all his tattoos.
And that they both survive this book!

I loved reading it! It's a dark and angsty romance with lots of excitement and suspense but with so many adorable and moving and funny and sweet and sexy moments too.

It was a bit too over the top here and there and the blurb is not really perfect in my opinion, and like I said the tattoo stuff was a bit much for me, but I still loved reading it.
Can't wait to see what Animal will tell us in his own book!!! ☺

...also worth mentioning ... Debra named three hookers after herself and two author friends - LOL! ☺

MERCY was such a beautiful dark romance! You immediately fall in love with Becca and Fenix. You just want to jump into the book and hug them!
Moving, scary, sexy, adorable! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Fenix - this one is MINE!!!!

I really didn't know what to expect when I picked up Mercy. All I really knew was that I freaking loved the cover.

Now, I haven't read Beast (which is the story about secondary characters in this book) but that did not matter to me at all - in fact i didn't realise Beast was connected at all until after I finished reading.

I adored Becca and Fenix's story. It is dark and gritty - and a lot stalkery - however it is, beneath it all, a beautiful love story.

I just wanted Nix and Becca to make it - there were so many hurdles thrown in their way, I needed them to fight their way to a HEA.

I adore the main secondary characters, Henry and Dick (from Beast). They are the perfect best friends that a woman can have.

Now, I am a fan of tattoos and have plenty of my own, however I am not a fan of face work. This did not, however, stop me from swooning all over Nix. His actions speak so much louder than ink.

Mercy is full of fun and flirting and sexy times, along with darkness and suspense and some not so nice people.

I was intrigued from the first word to the last.

Ms Anastasia has proven the she can write anything and keep me interested. From fun and flirty, to gross-out purile, to dark and dangerous - I will read it all.

Can't wait to see what she brings us next.

There are a lot of eyes in Debra Anastasia's house in Maryland. First, her own creepy peepers are there, staring at her computer screen. She's made two more sets of eyes with her body, and the kids they belong to are amazing. The poor husband is still looking at her after 17 years of marriage. At least he likes to laugh. Then the freaking dogs are looking at her—six eyeballs altogether, though the old dog is blind. And the cat watches her too, mostly while knocking stuff off the counter and doing that internal kitty laugh when Deb can't catch the items fast enough.

In between taking care of everything those eyes involve, Debra creates pretend people in her head and paints them on the giant, beautiful canvas of your imagination. What an amazing job that is. The stories hit her hard while driving the minivan or shaving her legs, especially when there's no paper and pen around. Within all of the lies she writes hides her heart, so thank you for letting it play in your mind.

Debra has written a smattering of books in a few genres. There are two paranormal romances in the Seraphim Series and now four contemporary romances in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series, Fire Down Below and Fire in the Hole, complete the Gynazule Comedy Series. The Revenger, a dark paranormal romance, is finally in the light, and the last, a novella called Late Night with Andres, is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. (So go get it right now, please!)
