5 Stars

Hollywood hath no fury like a woman scorned. In this fun, flirty second-chance romance from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett, an aspiring starlet reconnects with her first love.

Eden Goodnight went to Los Angeles to make it big, not to be publicly humiliated by her cheating fiancé at a red-carpet premiere. But when Eden returns to her hometown to put the scandal behind her, she can barely find a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Turns out the locals are worse than the paparazzi, and they all think she’s turned into a spoiled brat. But in a strange twist of fate, the one person who seems to understand what Eden’s going through is Cooper Mayfield . . . the boy she left behind.

Small-town charm is no match for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. At least that’s what Coop’s been telling himself all these years. As Eden’s old flameand the landscaper for her familys historic homeCoop feels some responsibility for getting her out of her funk. But as soon as he sees that million-dollar smile, he’s a goner. Soon they’re making out like teenagers again. But when a life-changing role falls into Eden’s lap, Coop just hopes she doesn’t give up on a love that’s meant to be.

Eden left her hometown in Georgia 14 years ago to make a name for herself in Hollywood. And she did. She even won an Oscar.
But after finding out  - live on the red carpet - that her fiancé cheated on her, she needs some relaxing weeks in the peacefulness of her family estate back home.
Enter Cooper.

He's now living in her family mansion.
He's the one that got away. Or rather the one who let her get away all those years ago. They were so in love in highschool. But she left to become a model.
But now she's back and it doesn't look as if any of the old feelings are still there.... but of course they are. Even through their constant fighting they - or rather, we, the reader - notice, that there's massive sparkage between them!!! ☺
But the whole town hates her ... plus, he's just the gardener and she's a rich Hollywood diva....

A very sweet second-chance-lovestory!
With lots of anger and fighting until we get to our happy end! ☺
Very cute. Funny. Moving. Sad. Sexy. Verrry sexy. ☺
Put two fighting exes with lots of left-over-feelings together in one house and let the fun times begin!
I enjoyed reading it - finished it in one day!
Great Hollywood / small-town / second-chance lovestory!

JILTED was an adorable second-chance lovestory!! Fun, sweet, moving & erotic! Run to your nearest amazon for your own COOP - this one is MINE! ☺

I had some tiny problems with the writing...as with every Sawyer book. It's Sawyer's and my thing It's only me who has those problems with her writing. So please don't be worried or just scroll down and don't read the following... it wasn't as bad as the other books - it didn't even start here until I was 7% into the book. I had huge hopes, but then it began with the....ASSES.
I have a HUGE AS problem in every book I read - especially, or rather, only, in American books! Sawyer always uses too many of those AS'es   You know the AS'es I'm talking about? The AS that could be and should be exchanged for a SINCE or a BECAUSE   It's a formal thing and then it's mostly only a British thing (if it's a thing at all!) and it doesn't have anything to do in an American book by an American author!!!!
I really don't want to insult Sawyer. I love all her books, and maybe nobody ever told her she does that.... so, Sawyer....please stop doing it. But pfff who am I to tell her what to do, so just forget I said anything! It doesn't stop her books from being great!

Another thing - this must've been a first draft ARC that went out to bloggers. I have rarely (never) seen a book that was soo full of mistakes and missing words and weird sentences and horrible writing. BUT - this does not influence my rating - I just wanted to mention it, because it was weird - it never happens like that. It felt like Sawyer wrote this book in one night and send it off to bloggers, without reading over it again and without letting her editor go over it.

ARC received for an honest review

This is the second in the Love Hurts series, however they are stand alones and can both be read alone.

I adored Jilted. It is a sweet, sexy and at times turbulent second chance love story, and I am always a sucker for one of those.

Throw in a Hollywood superstar and her small town love of her life and there is going to be major sparkage.

I live in a small town, so I get the small town vibe, the gossips, the rumour mill.  I could understand Eden feeling like she was under a microscope.

Coop - sigh, what was there not to love about the guy?  He has such a taciturn nature at times, but when he lets fly, well, he lets everyone know his feelings.

There were some great, and some downright d!ckish characters in Jilted that I just loved to hate.

Jilted is a sweet, sexy, cute albeit predictable story, but that didn't stop me reading it in one day and enjoying it.

Can't wait to see what Ms Bennett brings us next.

Book #1

USA Today Best-Selling Author, Sawyer Bennett is a snarky southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. She is married to a mobster (well, a market researcher) and they have two big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn't have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.
