ARC received for an honest review

Another fantastic book in the Consequence series by Rachel Van Dyken.

I adored Reid in the previous books - especially in The Consequence of Loving Colton - but oh how I LOVE him in The Consequence of Seduction!

Reid is the one who is never going to be tied down.  Nope, that's not the life for him!  Until Jordan.

I freaking loved Jordan from the first coffee stained, untamed hair minute we meet her.  Her story of her "invisibility" struck a chord with I am sure not just myself but other readers too.

Reid has had some .... issues I guess you would call them, the past year.  Horny grannies, gummi bears, you name it, he's had problems.  But his biggest problem of all is Max.

Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Max in the first two books, but this time he irritate me no end!  I know he is the typical brother to Reid, and siblings get on each other's nerves but gah - I think most the time I disliked him more than Jordan did!  And I didn't like hating him!  But this might have just been me.

He did redeem himself to me by the end though.

Reid and Jordan have sexy, hot attraction.  Whenever they are together things just sizzle, and you know that if/when they get their act together things are going to be explosive.

And what happens when their fake relationship starts to feel real?

I loved that we got lots of the rest of the group in this book.  I love the banter, the fun and games between them all, there is just so much mischief you never know what is going to happen next.

And LOVED that we got more of Hades and Little G from The Consequence of Revenge.

Whilst I loved the laugh out loud moments, I completely and utterly fell in love with Reid and Jordan in the quieter, more serious times.

There is just something about a Rachel Van Dyken book.  I just know I am going to like it, no matter whether it is one of her romantic comedies or her bad ass mafia stories.

Cannot wait to see what she brings us next.

Jordans body responded to my every single touch and caress.

Now I know why youve never had to ask a girl on a date. She hooked her legs around me and wrapped her arms around my neck, her tongue intertwining with mine, sucking, so. Damn. Hard that I couldnt help but keep moaning. The things that woman could do with her mouth.

I deepened the kiss, my hands reaching for the clasp of her bra. I flicked it off. Jordan immediately froze. Her hands quickly covered her breasts.

What are you doing? I tried prying her hands free.

Too fast. She nodded, her cheeks staining with color. You know for our, uh, date night.

Move your hands.

Reid. She laughed nervously.

Fine. I nodded. I didnt want to have to do this.

Jordan frowned.

I raised my hand.

She frowned harder.

I flipped her onto her stomach and slapped her ass. Hard.

What are you doing? she yelled.

Why, sweetheart . . . I kissed her ear. Im taming.

The hell you are!

You like it. Another swat. And Im barely spanking you, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Cover them up again and I wont be responsible for my actions.

I flipped her back around. But what? I honestly wanted to know why a girl that gorgeous would cover up.

Its just that—” Jordan chewed her lower lip. Im the lights-off girl.

Lights off?

Yeah. She shrugged a shoulder as more color stained her cheeks. You know, the girl you dont really notice right away until youve had one too many, then you take her home and have your way with herin the dark.

Horrified, I could only stare in shock. Please tell me that hasnt actually happened.

Reid. She shoved me away and started to get to her feet. Look, Im not stupid, okay? And Im not even that insecure anymore. I know how guys think, all right?

Oh, yeah? I stood, pulled her flush against my very hard body. What am I thinking about right now?

Her shoulders deflated. See?

I burst out laughing. Honey, we have a pretty big problem if ESPN gets me this excited, dont you think?

Hey, sometimes baseball just does it for people. She gave me a sexy-as-hell smile. Its not your fault you like balls.

I cant believe you just challenged my manhood when its saluting you like that. Damn, woman, Im basically giving you the equivalent of a high five and a home run all in one and youre making jokes?
