I have to say, after her appearance in her sister Audrey's book, I was not sure how Casey Tanner would be able to redeem herself. She did some pretty damn horrible stuff to her sister back then.
But as we learn more of her backstory, while it doesn't forgive her for her actions, I understood them a lot more, and I have to admit I did soften to her a lot more than I thought I would.
Casey hasn't had the easiest of lives, and to compensate for that, she lives by a rigid set of rules, and finds it hard to move out of her comfort zone.
Enter sexy fireman Abe Cameron. Confirmed bachelor with a reputation around town. Until he meets Casey.
There is an instant spark (see what I did there?!) between Abe and Casey that neither of them can deny. As much as Casey wants to fight the attraction, Abe brings out the fun, easy going side of her.
As much as Every Little Kiss is a romance between Abe and Casey, I felt it was much more a story of Casey rediscovering herself.
I adore the ladies of White Pine who are becoming firm friends with Casey - whether she realises it or not. The "Knots and Bolts" group are all so different but all complement each other so well.
I have loved every visit to White Pine so far, and hope for many more visits in the future.
