Excerpt
Anytime. Great to meet you Palmer!
You too, Phillip. The sky opened up and the giant droplets struck the ground. Palmer squealed and tried to cover her head.
Brant grabbed her hand and this time she didnt complain as they started running toward the truck. Palmer missed avoiding a puddle and stepped clumsily in it splashing cool water up on her jeans. She tried to hold her purse over her head but the contents spilled out on the now wet ground.
Palmer stopped running to gather her belongings that were all rolling in different directions.
Save yourself! I got this! Brant yelled to Palmer as he scrambled around grabbing lipstick containers, earplugs, and a box of Kleenex.
He held out the now soaking wet box of Kleenex and shrugged his shoulders. Keep it?
Palmer stood and started to laugh whole-heartedly. Brant was on his knees and soaked so that his wet shirt clung to his body. He gazed up at her and couldnt help but laugh too as she was standing in front of him dripping wet.
Her hair hung in wet blonde strips around her face and her mascara started to create rivers down her cheeks. She bent over and clutched her stomach as she continued to laugh.
Who looks like the drowned cat lady now? Brant teased.
Okay, stop. My stomach hurts from laughing so much. Palmer looked over to the eight feet that separated her from the truck. She held her hand out for Brant and he slipped his warm hand into hers.
I guess theres really no need to run now since were soaked, huh? He opened the truck door for Palmer so she could climb in.
Once they were warm and dry inside the cab, Brant took his thumb and wiped the streak of mascara off Palmers cheek.
So, do you have a hair dryer in that purse too? Brant joked.
Ha ha. You wish. Whew! Look at us! Were soaked and Im freezing.
Brant clicked on the heat and held his hand up to feel the warm air that started to blow through the vent. He reached behind the back of the seat and pulled out a sweatshirt. As he draped the warm, dry shirt over Palmers shoulders, she leaned in closer to him.
Thank you, she muttered quietly.
Brant took a wet strand of hair and tucked it behind her ear. Anytime. His eyes flicked down to her pink rose bud mouth and he instinctively licked his lips.
A familiar churning began in Palmers belly as she gazed up at Brant through her wet eyelashes.
Brant slowly moved closer to her and sweetly set his mouth on hers. His warm tongue invaded her mouth and ran along the edge of her teeth. A small moan escaped her lips as she matched his movements. She reached her arms up and entwined them around his neck, pulling him closer to her. His warmth and sweetness poured into her in the form of a kiss. She greedily sucked and twirled her tongue around his, desperate for more.
When he broke away she was breathless. She gulped at the air as she felt a flame lick through her body.
I hope that was okay. I shouldve asked first, Brant whispered.
Trust me, it was better than okay. Feel free to do that again and often, Palmer glanced at him and grinned sheepishly.
Brant laughed, Well, good to know. How about we get something to eat? Are you hungry?
Im starving. But not for food.

Book #3.5 Beautiful Beginning will be out 18 November 2013

★★★★★
5 big and fat Stars

In the third book in the Beautiful Bastard series, an agreement between a venture capitalist and a bookish woman quickly becomes a very NSFW version of My Fair Lady.

When Hanna “Ziggy” Bergstrom moves to New York City for graduate school, Will Sumner thinks his responsibilities to his best friend’s nerdy little sister will be limited to the occasional dinner and check-in. Little does he know that Ziggy is ready to break out of her bookworm academic shell and move more into bombshell territory. Of course she figures the gorgeous womanizing venture capitalist Will is the best person to help mentor her in this new field of study: dating.

Will takes on the challenge with more than a healthy dose of skepticism and humor, but soon finds that Ziggy just needed a tiny push, not a world of change, to reveal a woman every man seems to notice. Soon “Ziggy” is gone and the unfiltered, innocently seductive Hanna Bergstrom is hijacking his dreams, his moods, and even his orderly no-strings-attached dating life—beginning the night his mentoring activities move between the sheets
.

OUR THOUGHTS

Bianca:

Hanna 'Ziggy' Bergstrom has been living in New York for the past 3 years - and for most of that time she hasn't left her beloved lab. She's a bio-med grad student and it's taking up all her time. That's why her Dad and oldest brother Jensen come to the rescue. They tell her to go out and have fun and enjoy life while she's still young! Jensen tells her to call up his best college buddy Will to take her out and introduce her to some people.
That's what she does ☺ Calling the guy she's had a crush on since she was 12 years old!!!
William Sumner! Sexy Scientist & Business Man!

They meet for a run in Central Park and they click immediately - instant friendship ☺ (don't know about you guys, but I have this sudden urge to go jogging!! ~~J~~)

William loves how funny and different and pretty and interesting she is - but she is still his buddy's little sis. Still - he can't stop staring at her boobs - and it doesn't help that Hanna has NO idea how to censor her nerdy thoughts and comments - she talks about SEX and BOOBS and Blow Jobs and Penises and Will just loves it ☺ She wants him to teach her everything he knows and learned in the sex and seduction department being a big Ladies-Man (Player)☺
Will never really had a girlfriend - he has Lady-Friends who he calls when the need arises ☺  But lately he only feels the need for this one nerdy girl ☺

Soon they start to do more than just running and talking about SEX theoretically ☺

BUT is Will ready to commit - to his buddy's sister?
And is Hanna ready for something serious? Are they both ok with this 'friends-with-benefits' thing?

WILL THERE BE A HAPPY END????

I'm not telling you, of course ☺
I don't want to spoil your reading pleasure ☺

Janeane:

Just three little words:

I tell you now, I thought it would to beat Max Stella, but Will Sumner over took him like a bullet and left him in his wake!

In the previous books, Will has been in the background as the player, the last man standing amongst Bennett, Max and himself.  He has scheduled "dates" with numerous ladies, the love 'em and leave 'em kind of arrangement that his always worked.

Until he reconnects with Hanna.  Super smart, sexy scientist.  She turns his world its head and there is nothing he can - or wants to do about it.

This book has it all!  I laughed sooooo hard soooooo much (but not so much I peed my pants - at least not that I am telling you!!)

Hanna is hilarous - her conversations with Will about porn had me in stitches!

And don't get me started on the boobs.  Will is a total boob man, and there are some fantastic conversations about and with Hanna's boobs.  Like this one:

“I hate to ask the obvious, but what are you looking at?”
He tilted his head, studying me from a different angle.

“Your boobs look different.”
“Don’t they look awesome?”
I took one in each hand.
“As you know, Chloe and Sara helped me pick out new bras.  Boobs have always been sort of a problem for me.”

Will’s eyes widened.
“Boobs are never a problem for anyone. Ever.”
“Says the man without a pair. Boobs are functional. That’s it.”
He loks at me with genuine fire in his eyes.
“Fucking right they are.  They get the job done.”
I laugh, groaning.

“They aren’t functional for you, frat boy.”
“Wanna bet?”
“See, the problem with boobs is if you have big ones, you can never look thing. You get these burns on your shoulders from bra straps, and your back hurts. And unless you’re using them for their intended purpose, they’re always in the way.”

“In the way of what?  My hands? My face?  Don’t you blaspheme in here.”

He looked up to the sky.

“She didn’t mean it, Lord.  Promise.”

Ignoring him, I said,
“That’s why I had a reduction when I was twenty one,”

which is when his expression morphed into one of horror.  You’d have thought I told him I made an amazing stew from tiny babies and puppy tongues.

“Why on earth would you do that?  That’s like God giving you a beautiful gift and you kicking him in the nuts.”

I laughed.

“God?  I thought you were agnostic, Professor.”

“I am.  But if I could motorboat perfect tits like yours, I might be able to find Jesus."

I felt my blush warm my cheeks.

“Because Jesus totally lives in my cleavage?”

“Not any more he doesn’t.  Your boobs are now too small for him to be comfortable in there.”

He shook his head, and I couldn’t stop laughing.

“So selfish, Ziggs,”

The sexual tension between Will and Hanna is so thick you could cut it with a knife.  And even when they are not doing the deed,  the sexting is hot as hell

Will is just the whole package.  Smart, sexy as hell, funny, all tattooed under them business suit, oh and did I mention sexy?

I loved that we got more of Bennett and Chloe, Max and Sara.  Their lives intersect so much that the story just wouldn't be complete without their insights into Will's relationships.

We also meet Hanna's family, and while at times I wanted to throttle them for being so in Hanna's face about her life, I was glad they did.

I only read this book a couple of days ago, and it am still in Will Sumner mode.  I could go read this again right now and not get bored.

If you haven't read the Beautiful series - why not, and why are you still reading this?  Get to it!

Some people are blessed to find that one certain person who completes them.

Wrynn’s yesterdays were what others only dream of having. She and Tripp were the best of friends before they even thought about love. They had the fairy tale life where ‘like’ turns into ‘love’, and ‘love’ becomes ‘happily ever after’.

What happens when life conspires against you, and snatches your soul mate from your arms?

…only her forever love ended much too soon.

Broken beyond her own ability to repair, Wrynn boxes up her grief and attempts to raise her three girls the best she can on her own. As time slowly passes, Wrynn relives her life with Tripp while struggling most days to get out of bed. She is reminded of him at every turn.

How do you set your grief and anguish aside? How do you pick up the shattered pieces, put those pieces back together again, and try to move on?

Wrynn tries to find the joy in life every single day through her daughters, family, and friends. Her twin brother Liam has dedicated himself to helping Wrynn put her life back together after losing his own love. On the other hand, her mother-in-law lives to torment her at every turn. Wrynn can't even find a chance to breathe, much less a desire to somehow search for her tomorrow.

Review by Janeane ARC received for honest review

Wow!  This is Kathryn Crane's debut novel, but there is no way on the planet that I would ever have thought this was the case!  It is written well beyond what anyone would expect of a debut.

Searching for Tomorrow is a story of soulmates, love and loss, family. It is written in past and present tense, which sometimes can get confusing, however this is not the case here.

Wrynn found her soulmate Tripp when she was just a child.  Now she has lost him and she is broken.  Her story is absolutely heartbreaking.  To have loved as deeply as she did, how can she move on for herself and her children.  I might have done a fair bit of this while I was reading....

Through the "past chapters" we follow as Wrynn and Tripp go from friends to more than friends, to lovers, to each other's everything.

You will fall in love with Tripp.  He is strong, caring, loving - even though his childhood left a lot to be desired, he overcomes it to become the man he is.

Wrynn's twin brother Liam plays a large part in her life and in the story.  Things happen as the story moves along that seem to set things up for a book of his own?  I hope this happens and not too far in the future.

Tripp's "mother" - well, what a piece of work she is.  At times I was expecting flying monkeys to hover around her she is so nasty.

I could not put this down once I started, had a very late night/early morning to finish it.  Especially when I got to the last few chapters.  Hooley dooley what a

I was left feelig all "what the heck happened".

Thank you Kathryn for giving us a wonderful, emotionally packed story.  I will certainly be reading more.

If you are reading this, I think you should know that
"About me" sounds so very pretentious to me. I guess that is what I
am supposed to write about, so here it goes!

Kathryn is a simple country girl who likes to spend time
with her hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook
and really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than
likely find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start
coming in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen,
canning all the goodies she is blessed with. Kathryn likes to hike and go
camping, and as a Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold
winter nights, you will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a
good book, while sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!

Kathryn was born and raised in North Carolina, and while
she loves to travel, she can't imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has
come to call home. Not a day goes by that Kathryn doesn't thank God for
abundantly blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful.
She holds Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every
fiber of her being. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares
the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future."

Kathryn loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between
her toes. As far back as she can remember, she's had a book in her hand.
Reading has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to
people that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she's
always been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to
write down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after
dawdling around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those
stories as much as she loves writing them!
