“Palmer ‘Pal’ Campbell has epic breakdown on the 18th hole of the Bermuda Open! Video at 11.”

After spending my entire pro golfing career being known as the quiet, controlled, no-nonsense golfer on the tour, there’s nothing more humiliating than throwing all of that down the drain
or into a water hazardon national television. Needing some place to hide, to lick my wounds and figure out what I even want to do with my life once this blows over, I can only think of one place I need to be. Summersweet Island, where everyone treats me like one of their own, and they’ll all be happy to have me home again.

Well, except maybe one person. It’s been two years since I last set foot on Summersweet Island or spoke to anyone there. But I’m sure Birdie Bennett, my best friend since I was 15 and the clubhouse manager of my favorite golf course, has had plenty of time to forgive me for that tiny little misunderstanding where I blocked her on social media and blocked her in my phone. Oh, and I guess I kind of, sort of accused her of being a stalker. It’s fine!

Once my sexy, spunky, former best friend gets over the shock of seeing me again and stops trying to drive a 9-iron into my skull, I can finally let her know I’ve also kind of, sort of always been in love with her...

Birdie and Palmer.
They've been best friends since they were 15. She was the local girl and he was the golf prodigy training on the island's golf club.
But something happened almost three years ago and now Birdie hates Pal.
And now poor Pal is back on the island to figure out his professional future after losing his famous cool during his last game. On live television.

Let the fun times begin ...

LOL! ADORABLE!

I loved this!
I'm not really a fan of golf. I never tried playing it and I never really watched it on TV.
But I really loved Pal and Birdie and the whole island vibe, the friends, family. It was just so adorable and funny and islandy and golfy and super sparky and bantery!

Great rom-com! I really enjoyed reading this. Can't wait for more stories from the island. I just adored Bodhi and Tess! I hope they'll get their own book. Next we'll get Birdie's sister Wren and the island's new baseball coach!

KiSS MY PUTT was an adorable & funny Island-Golf-Second-Chancey-ish-Rom-Com! I loved it! Hurry to your nearest amazon for your own Palmer ... this one is MINE! Plus also - I need Bodhi's story asap!

A tiny little thing that bothered me a bit. Especially in the beginning. I don't like it when chapters end with a little cliffy and then the next chapter does NOT start where it should, but at a later time. I want to know what happened in that moment, not fast forward and just get told about it in a few lines :( And also the expressions to book it, hoof it, hightail it out of there - I just don't like those. They belong in some kind of silly 80's NY detective comedy or something?! It just sounds weird. I might hear Starsky & Hutch saying that. Or maybe even Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich. LOL!

ARC received via author for an honest review

Fore! Tara Sivec is back with a story told about a sport I never thought would be interestingt to read (even when I used to play it!) - golf!

Throw in best friend, friends to lovers, small town tale.

I was laughing at Palmer/Pal from the first meltdown. Yeah, I felt sorry for him, but was still funny AF.

Birdie snarky and sweet and has a heart of gold. And the weak spot for Palmer is huge.  There is a love/hate relationship between our lovelies that brings out the worst in both of them.  And leads to so much sexual tension, you will feel it from your reader.

The thing that bugged me, and it bugs me in all the stories that have it - communicate, people!  Sheesh you're adults, right?

I love, love, loved Palmer's best friend Bodhi.  He made me laugh out loud so many times.

We are set up for the next book in this one, and I can' wait to see where Ms Sivec takes us with it.
