Larkin Mancinkus prides herself on making the town of Whynot, North Carolina just a little sweeter. As owner of Sweet Cakes Bakery, Larkin gets all the town gossip – the sugar, the spice, and the everything not so nice. So when she finds herself on the tip of everyone’s tongue thanks to an encounter with a mysterious and handsome stranger, she learns the true meaning of ‘if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.’
Deacon Locke has spent his life traveling the world with no particular destination in mind. But when he rolls into Whynot on his Harley, he just knows there is something different about this town. What he doesn’t know is that out of all the places he’s traveled and all the people he’s met, the gorgeous bakery owner might just entice him to put down some solid roots.

It's finally time for Larkin to tell us her story!
She's the last of the Mancinkus siblings to find her happily ever after.
Larkin runs the town's bakery and she's part-owner in her brother's Bed & Breakfast.
The same B&B where HE just checked in.Deacon Locke. Γber-hot Biker guy.
Larkin is a bit shy and she thinks she's too chubby to attract someone like Deacon.
Poor Deacon has a lot of flirting and charming to do to get this beautiful girl to fall for him.But what then? He's never staying in one place for long! Could he stay in Whynot for the pretty baker girl???
That was adorable!!!!!!
Another super-sweet romance in this great series!!!
A hot and dangerous biker falling for the pretty baker!
Too cute! And Deacon is so not dangerous - he's so sweet and kind and funny and he's just perfect for Larkin - and he completely fits in with her big family.
It's hilarious how everyone in town knows everything about their 'courtship' only minutes after everything happens. (Hashtag Handcuffs!!!) LOL!
I just adored this story.
No unneccessary over the top drama.
Just a sweet and sparky romance with a few tiny sadish/moving moments!
Perfect!
I know this is Sawyer's tame alter-ego writing sweet romances, but a little bit sexiness wouldn't have hurt. This mega fade to black thing is just too prude for my tastes. But I still really liked the story and the people in it!
GIMME SOME SUGAR was another ΓΌber-adorable & sweet love story in this beautiful series! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Deacon - this one is MINE!
ARC received for an honest review
It is always fun times heading back to Whynot, NC. This time we have the baker and the biker - and a whole lotta sweetness.
Larkin is the Mancinkus sibling that I have really been waiting for. She has been there for all her siblings as they have found their HEA, and as happy as she is for them all, she wants hers.
My heart hurts at times for her, as she doesn't see herself the way that everyone else does. We have all had those self doubts in our lives and it takes a great guy to show her what everyone else sees.
Deacon... le sigh. He is all kinds of swoony (though I am not all with the Jax Teller stuff, nope, not for me). I love the way he treats our lovely Larkin.
It was great so see a bit more of the previous couples from the earlier books. And I had soooo forgotten how much I love Morri!
I loved that there was no OTT drama, and that our lovelies, though they had their issues, they talked things through instead of throwing tanties and not communicating.
Full of spark and snark, I read Gimme Some Sugar in one day and enjoyed every second of it.

Book #1

The only problem I always have with Sawyer's writing - with every one of her books.... It's Sawyer's and my thing ☺ It's only me who has those problems with her writing. So please don't be worried or just scroll down and don't read the following...
I have a HUGE AS problem! Sawyer always uses way too much of those ☺ You know the AS's I'm talking about? The AS that could and should be exchanged for a SINCE or BECAUSE or maybe even a COMMA ☺ It's a British and maybe a legal thing (if it's a thing at all!) and it doesn't have anything to do in an American book by an American author! I could live with one or two, but there are just sooo many. (In this case 26 that I highlighted and I'm sure I missed some!!! TWENTY SIX!)
I really don't want to insult Sawyer. I love all her books, and maybe nobody ever told her she does that.... Sawyer....please stop doing it. But pfff who am I to tell her what to do, so just forget I said anything! It doesn't stop her books from being great! I have NO idea why this is bothering me so much, but as soon as I see those millions of ASes in Sawyer's books, I get sooo annoyed! Grrr. I'm even more annoyed that she's using them in this series. This is supposed to be her alter ego - meaning, she is another person writing another kind of romance. Why not change your overuse of ASes then too??
Ugh!. Ok - rant over. ☺
