When I started reading I kinda expected something much darker - or edigier - more erotic.

Not that the story wasn't sexy - it SOOO was ☺ phew

But I thought with the club et cetera - we would have a more erotic-only-story.

But nope - it's a real adorable love story about a slightly kinky cowboy who tries his hardest to stay away from the girl he's loved all his life. Only - manly man that he is - he doesn't know that he's in love with her - yet.... And even if he knew it - he still wants to keep her safe from him...
Poor guy. He didn't expect poor little innocent Callie to be all grown up and wanting to try some of his kinkiness.

I really enjoyed the story - lots of sexy and funny and cute moments!!!

WICKED FALL - was a really hot start to a new Sawyer Bennett series!

Book #2 will be about Cain - and then HOPEFULLY soon, we'll get to read Bridger's story - it will be soooo much fun to watch him fall for someone...maybe, if I have any say in it - 2 someones ☺☺

If you have read Ms Bennett's Last Call series, you will know that Woolf is Tenn's younger brother.  If you haven't read them, it doesn't matter as you will get to know Woolf  and all his proclivities in Wicked Fall.

Woolf is a sexy ass rancher - that should be enough, right?  He is rich but is still hands on in his business.  But throw his kink into the ring, and seriously, what more could a girl (or guy!) want.

Callie is the one that got away, but never left his head or his heart.  Now she is back in his life, and things are going to get interesting!

I loved Callie - so sweet and innocent - well, looks can be deceiving!  She has this adventurous, wild streak in her that certainly comes out to play when it comes to Woolf!  And boy, when Callie comes out to play, boy does she come to play!!  I am still fanning myself!  It is super-duper, I-need-a-cold-shower-and-a-change-of-underwear kinda smoking.

But you know what was even hotter than the sexy times?  I felt that the emotional connection between Callie and Woolf (am I the only one who feels they need to howl at the moon with that name??) was so deep, so visceral, that it made the sexy times (and boy were there some sexy sexy times) even better.

There are a few things I need to add:

> I live in a farming community, so I will be checking out all the farmers belt buckles from now on

> I will never, ever be able to look at a silo the same way again

> Do you think the bank would loan me $50,000 to join The Silo?

I thoroughly enjoyed Wicked Fall (well, it is a Sawyer Bennett book, that is pretty much a gimme), and I can't wait to read about the woman who brings Bridger to his knees (cos we know it is going to happen), and after reading the teaser chapter at the end of Wicked Fall, whoa for Cain's story!

Now, I have to go see if I can find myself a sexy, dirty talking, kinky farmer!

I really liked the book - I finished it in one afternoon.
The story is suspensy and sexy and the characters are very likable☺



But more than liked? NO :((

I have some (lots of) problems with the book  :/
It starts with the writing - the words - it's like she used words from british english and american and maybe that's what happens when you're canadian - no idea - but the book is set in California, so it should be American English. That's another thing - California - I think we don't find out where we are until VERY late into the book - that's a personal hard-limit for me, not knowing where a story is taking place.
Next hard-limit....
Most people probably won't be bothered by all this...I'm just weird that way.
When a book starts with a line that I hate - the book has a hard time making it up to me :/

"Oh Kaiden! Right there! Oh God, I'm going to cum!"

I just personally HATE the word cum. It always makes me feel like I'm watching a cheap porn movie. Just use COME, please.

And then lines like this (WARNING!)

"I want to see your face while you cum on your brother's cock."

"I'm gonna cum in you, little sister.."

UGH - I know it's a step-brother-romance - but please!!!! This is just nasty! Is that the way we want our 22 year old hero to talk?? NO! I realllly don't have anything against dirty talk ... but nope!



I'm giving 3.9 stars and not less because I kinda liked the story - even though the story itself was kinda weird too.
Like the money Kaiden has hidden away in safety deposit boxes? Um yeah - nope - no tiny little criminal can make that much money in three years! Ridiculous.

There wasn't really any story - no backstory at all. There's just weird sex and some tiny little talks about what happened when they were kids, but nothing deep and explanatory.
Maybe with another 150 pages and a good editor, the story could've been great. ☺

But - like I said - 3.9 stars - because I liked Kaiden and Abigail and the story had potential ☺

If you like sexy & suspensy Step-Brother-Romances....
GO AND BUY THE BOOK!!!! ☺

This is the second book in the White Pines series, but I have not read the first book and that did not detract from this book at all.

I love a good second chance romance (gives us all a bit of hope, don't you think?!?).

Audrey still harboured feelings for Kieran, the guy who loved her and left her 5 years ago - though what those feelings were, hmmm could it be love or hate?

Kieran never expected to see her again, but when their lives intersect through work, it brings out all those old feelings.

Gah, these two!  You could feel the UST between them, the spark, the intensity.  I mean, you can only really bicker and fight with someone like that if you really have feelings for them.

You couldn't help but fall in love with Audrey and Kieran as they fell in love again.  There were some sexy times, there were some sad times.  The guilt and remorse they both felt jumped off the pages as the story continued, but so did the hope, the fear of losing each other again, the growing happiness.

There were a couple of things that happened that made me want to throw my kindle to the side and scream at the characters.  But there was so many times that I just had a big grin on my face.  I loved that they didn't insta-fall-in-love-again.  I was glad that Audrey made him fight for her, made him earn her trust.

I really did enjoy And Then He Kissed Me, and I will be going back and reading book 1 while I am waiting for the next book.
