We met you as Hammer's awesome dad, and now we get to see you find you HEA.
And what a story we got. Roman is looking down retirement, is seeing his daughter all loved up with his bestie, his friends and family falling left (wing), right (wing) and centre.
Then the one that got away comes back and all complications ensue.
Lexi is the 💣. Just like Jessica Campbell in real life (a coach with the Kraken), Lexi is the first female coach in the NHL, dealing with all that entails, family, and facing that one guy who has been in her dreams.
And oh boy, the pull between the two of them is palpable. You could feel the need jump off the pages every time they are in the same room together.
There are some great, funny times with the team mates, the gals in the BBB. But there are also times that will punch you in the guts as Roman and Lexi find their way to their new relationships.
Also, there are sparky sparks that give us hints as to who the next couple is going to be.

I still don't love hockey but this story was so cute and funny and sparky and heartbreaking and I just loved reading this.
Poor Lexi with her completely new life in a new city, dream job, inherited sisters. She needs this job to be a success.
And Roman. He's thinking of his future too. He doesn't want to leave Toronto and his daugher. And he's even considering to retire sooner to be with Lexi.
I loved reading this. I kinda skipped over the porny scenes - the dirty talk was just way too cringey for me. But the story was so sweet and fun and emotional.
We also still have the side story of the fighting boys Flip and Connor and whatever happened with them years ago. And we also see some future sparksies between some more people. Can't wait to see what and who is next!
