You laughed your way through her parent’s story, but Lavender Waters’ path is a little different. That sweet, shy girl who melted everyone’s heart is all grown up. And she’s about to face her biggest demon. All she can do is hope she’s strong enough not to let him break her. Again.

I don’t want you.

You mean nothing to me.
I never loved you.

I turned my words into swords.
And I cut her down.
Shoved the blade in and watched her fall.

I said I’d never hurt her, and I did.

Years later, I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted, when all I wanted was to indulge my obsession.

Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of.

I used to be the one who saved her.
Over and over again.

But I don’t want to save her anymore.
I just want to pretend the lies are still the truth.

A standalone angsty new adult romance.

Lavender and Kodiak.
We all know their parents from the Pucked and All In series.
Kodiak's dad is still playing hockey and Lavender's dad is the coach. So all the team's kids are basically growing up together as besties and cousins.
At least that's how it is in the prologue. When Lavender is six years old - and Kodiak is nine.
Lavender has always been extremely shy. Her twin brother River talks for her most of the time.
One night something happens that makes Lavender close up even more.
And then we fast forward 13 years. Lav is 19. Kodiak is 21.
College in Chicago.
All the 2nd generation hockey kids go there.
Lavender lives in a  house with her two brothers.
Kodiak lives three doors down with friends and cousins.
Something happened between our two darlings two years ago. They hate each other now! But they also kinda have been in love with each other since they were born.
But as we find out in a few back-in-time chapters - their intense connection - even as little kids - is probably not helping either of them.

What will happen with Lavender & Kodiak?

Beautiful!

You might think you get his cute little college romance. And we do get that. We have funny and adorable and clumsy college moments. But it's so much more.
We already see some of that in the prologue. And we know that something happened between our darlings. But we don't really know what is going on.
We also know that both Lavender and Kodiak have a series of 'issues'.
So one might think they'd be perfect for each other. They can heal and help each other. But it's not as easy as that. Their parents don't want them to lean on each other too much.
The reader just wants whatever happened between them to go the eff away, so that we can finally get our happily ever after. But we still have a long way to go. And we love every single word of that journey!

I just adored this book.
Lavender and Kodiak are so amazing. They're the perfect kids for their parents, but everybody is always worried about them. Ugh. It's all so sad and heartbreaking. But beautiful too. I just loved reading this. Perfect angsty new adult college love story!
And I just know - or hope - that we'll get more of those second generation kids. There are sooo many stories that we're already teased with. River, BJ, Maverick, so many kids. And even with my horrible bookalzheimer brain, I remember all their parents, and know which kids belong where!

LiTTLE LiES was such a beautiful & emotional New Adult College Love Story!!! I just loved it!! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Kodiak - he'll be sold out in no time - and this one is MINE!

ARC received for an honest review

This is a Helena Hunting spin off, so you know what you are going to get, right?

But you know nothing Jon Snow!

See this here?

This was me about 75% of the time I was reading.

Thinking I was going to get a cute college romance with the Pucked: Next Generation crew, I was  shocked and surprised and so not expecting what we got from the prologue one.

Lavendar and Kodiak had me in an adrenaline haze most the time I as reading.  Not a thrill junkie kind of haze either.

Oh my, the emotions this book evokes in the reader.  I was anxious to turn each page, but also so excited.  I needed to know what was going to happen next, even tough I was terrified what was going to happen next.

Now, I am not a big reader of NA stories these days (old fart here, I could be their parent!) however Ms Hunting weaves her magic and these don't feel like they are college aged people.

I loved seeing the kids of the Pucked / All In couples all grown up  There are so may more stories here that I want, no I need to know.  I really want Maverick and BJ's stories!  Like Pokemon, I gotta get them all!
