Minor league player Stone Dumelin lost his younger brother when the Titans’ team plane went down. He never expected the phone call that followed.

After a shoulder injury put my NHL career on ice, I resigned myself to the fact I’d never see my way out of the minor league again. As my career faded, my estranged brother’s star shot into orbit as the first line left winger for the Pittsburgh Titans. But when the team’s plane crashed returning home one night, his light was snuffed out, and I was given the opportunity of a lifetime.

Now I’m in Pittsburgh, playing for the Titans, and face-to-face with my dead brother’s ghost at every turn. His locker, his legacy, his persistent and annoyingly gorgeous attorney who won’t stop contacting me about his estate, even though I’ve demanded she leave me alone.

Harlow Alston would be extremely appealing if she wasn’t so aggravating. Only…that’s a complete lie. She pushes all the right buttons for me, and as much as I want her to quit pestering me about Brooks’s estate, I find myself intrigued by the fiery redhead who can’t take no for an answer. And the more I learn about Harlow, the more I find she might be the key to understanding who Brooks really was, and who I want to be.

I’ve got a second shot at a career I thought I’d lost and the opportunity to build something real with Harlow, but can I find strength to move forward or will my past dictate my future?

ARC received from author for an honest review

Well then.

All this time I thought it was Baden's book that I desperately needed, but I was wrong.  It was Stone Dumelin I needed.

Before I go on, I need to say this - what is it with all the Douchey McDouchface hockey parents in all my books.  Ugh, this one is the WORST!

Stone and Harlow are so cute, but there is so much sadness and at times bitterness that it takes more than a quick kiss to get trough it all.

I loved seeing more of the rebirth of the Titans, but this was more of the story of the rebirth of Stone.

Gah, I just loved it.

I am curious to learn more about this team in the future.

HARLOW + STONE

Stone used to be in the NHL, but an injury destroyed that dream and for the last few years he's been playing in the minors. But his dad had another son to play super-proud-hockey-dad for. But now that's over too. Brooks died in the Pittsburgh Titans plane crash and suddenly Stone is called to play for his brother's team. And daddy is back to be proud daddy.
Harlow was Brooks' friend and he appointed her as executor of his will.
With detailed instructions on how to handle things with his brother.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN...

That was adorable. But also very heartbreaking.
Those poor brothers! They could've been the bestest of buddies these last years but this horrible father. Grr.
Harlow and Stone are perfect for each other - but of course it takes them a while to get there.
I adored the dog!!!
I hated the 'disease' in the story. I can't have my heros or their girls be sick - in whatever way. Nope. I hate that. #HardLimit
But still - it was a cute love story. A story more about Stone getting to know his late brother through Harlow and the journals.
And a story about a new hockey team and all their problems ...

Can we please get a Sawyer Bennett Hockey Netflix series now??

STONE was an adorable + very heartbreaking  love story in this brand new hockey world! ☺ Run to your nearest amazon for your own STONE - this one is MINE!
