✪ The Vet Fron Snowy River ✪ Stella Quinn ✪

 The Vet from Snowy River

Release date: 2nd June 2021

Vera De Rossi no longer believes in love ...

And thanks to her ex-boyfriend- she's also broke, jobless, and staring down the barrel at a court case that could land her in prison. Turning to her talent for baking, Vera opens a cafe in Hanrahan, a cosy tourist town in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains.

Josh Cody, once Hanrahan's golden boy, escaped sixteen years ago with gossip hard on his heels and a pregnant girlfriend in tow. Now he's back: a qualified veterinarian - and a single dad with a lot to prove. A new start and a grumpy teenage daughter ... it's a lot to juggle, and there's no room in his life for further complications. But that's before he walks into The Billy Button Cafe and meets its prickly owner ...

Reeling from the past, Vera has no intention of being sidetracked by the hot vet with his killer smile. But fate has a way of tripping up our best intentions and between a stray cat and a busybody with a heart of gold, this is a town - a family - unlike any other. And, whether Vera wants it or not, is there anything a family won't do to help one of its own?

Funny, feel-good and entertaining, a stellar romance debut from an award-winning new talent.

Now I will admit that I am not  the biggest fan of of rural romance (I did the tree change and know what it is really like in the country), and have found that things have been getting a little stale in the genre.

But what a refreshing voice Stella Quinn is.

I get Vera's feeling of moving into a small town, of feeling like an outsider, of feeling alone (I moved to my town 18 years ago, and it took me a long time to feel like a local!). I could completely relate with her.

I get the feeling of  all eyes on you, waiting for you to be the next piece of gossip for the mill. Just like Vera and the lovely vet Josh, you can't sneeze without someone two streets over saying bless you!

I loved the colourful characters of Hanrahan, with all their quirk. Before you know it, they will feel like family to you as you are reading along.

Full of heart and emotion, I enjoyed every minute of reading The Vet From Snowy River,

In fact, this book is like a big, warm hug.  It was a delightful read, that is perfect to curl up under a blankie and just get completely swept away with.

✪ The Fling (Playboy Pact #2) ✪ M. Robinson ✪

From Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes a new stand-alone romantic comedy.

What happens when you make a pact with your boys to stay single and never fall in love?

Well, you get the Playboy Pact.

I was the playmaker. The one with the best moves, the best lines. I was the best at everything…
And I mean, everything.
There was no woman immune to my charm. To my looks. To my bed-hopping ways.

It was supposed to be easy. A quick, fun, mind-blowing night where she screamed out my name in ecstasy.

No feelings.
No past.
No strings attached.

I broke the rules.
I broke the pact.

I fell for her smile.
Her laugh.
Our instant connection.
Except, I never expected to fall in love.

Especially with a single mom…

Of twins.

The Queen of Angst is back with the second installment in the Playboy Pact series,

Now, I liked Leo and Mila's story in the first book, however I liked this second installment better

Now, I will say that I wasn't sure how I was going to like The Fling after the way these guys are.  Sure, they are 16 years old and cocky, but they were sooooo unlikable with their pump and dump attitude towards females.  I really couldn't see how any self respecting girl or woman would go near any of them with a 20 foot pole!

Ashton was probably my least favourite of the boys as I read book one, The Kiss, however now he is up there as a favourite.

I loved the growth in Ashton as an adult, even when those around him are still acting like little boys.

I loved how Sage protects her family, even when it is to her own detriment.

I loved the ride as they fell in love.

Now, this might just be a me thing, but I feel that this series is mislabelled as a rom-com.  I don't think I laughed at all with this one..

I would call it angst-light instead.

I enjoyed this story, and I liked the set up for the next book in the series, about Cain (though Sawyer's book is the one I reaaaaalllly want!)

I’m Jake Masterson, single dad, and the General Manager of Seattle’s NHL team. I walked away from a career as a player so I could raise my daughter. For the last twenty-plus years, Queenie has been my main priority, but now she’s getting married.

And there’s a small complication.

A beautiful, sexy complication named Hanna.

She’s my son-in-law’s older sister. Or at least that’s how they were raised. The truth is a little more scandalous than that.

I’ve been drawn to her from the moment I laid eyes on her. And I spent months trying to keep a lid on that attraction.

Until we finally give in.

It starts with one searing kiss, but quickly ends with us between the sheetsand in the shower, and the hot tub, you get the pictureand turns into months of sneaking around.

Here’s the problem: we live on opposite ends of the country. It can’t be anything but casual. And as I’ve already saidits complicated.

But when Hanna finds out she’s pregnantsuddenly things get real serious.

Hanna + Jake.
We already know them from Ryan + Queenie's book.
Hanna is Ryan's mother and Jake is the hockey team manager and Queenie's dad!
And during all the wedding preparation and planning these last few months they kinda fell for each other a tiny little bit. But of course they can never be together - it would be too weird with their kids being married and all the other previous problems in their families. Plus she lives in Tennessee and he's here in Seattle.
But then suddenly we're pregnant - in our mid-fourties!

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN ... 😍

Adorable!

Finally a mature book for a change! I loved that.
I adored Hanna and Jake and their story!
They're so attracted to each other, but they don't want to hurt the kids.
And then with the pregnancy - which is of course very high risk - so we're very worried about that. Both have done this having a kid thing before - but in very different ways.
I just loved reading this!
Very sexy and sparky and adorable.
Great love story!

A KISS FOR A KISS was such an adorable + sexy + mature baby-having love story! I just loved it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Jake - he'll be sold out in no time - and this one is MINE!

Another super cute story from Helena Hunting. And set in my favourite city in the USA that I have visited - Seattle. We are already on a winner!!

We already met Jake and Hanna in A Secret For A Secret, but forget that other book.

I am in love with A Kiss For A Kiss!

Firstly - yay for a couple in their 40s getting it on and falling in love.  This old duck, whilst loves all the youngun' getting their HEA, is so happy to get more stories of people my age.

Though preggers at 46 like Hanna *shudders* hahah

I loved that they had struggles that are more relatable to me, and I couldn't help but fall in lust, and then love with Jake.  Hanna is one lucky lady, and if she didn't want him, I would have thrown my hat in the ring for a go πŸ˜‚

I need these All In books to go on forever.

I can't wait for what Ms Hunting brings us next
