New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase is back with this red-hot romantic comedy about two rival real estate developers who inherit the same lucrative property. There’s just one catch: they have to live in it…together.

No loopholes. No backing out. No leaving for four months.

Damon Burke is intense, handsome and vengefully calculating—he's also certain he'll outlast his competitor.

Jade Buchanan is brilliant, ruthless, and absolutely not losing to
him.

But the house seems to have a mind of its own. With faulty wiring, a leaking roof, drafty windows and the occasional wild-life infestation, it just might be trying to kill them. And the more Damon and Jade try to oust each other from the property, the more it brings them together.

Sparks fly, tempers clash—but eventually, all their walls come crumbling down.

It's a bad idea to get too close to your enemy. To care about them, need them, want them more than you've ever wanted anything.

But when rivalry becomes something more than they ever expected, Damon and Jade discover love can be a very good bad idea.

Jade + Damon

Both inherited half of a huge old mansion on the Jersey Shore. Both want their own real estate companies to make lots of money with that plot of land.
But to fully own it, they have to live there together for four months without once leaving the grounds and with no phones et cetera.
Let the fun times begin....

Well. That was adorable.
And funny and a bit silly and I kind of almost once stopped reading. I wanted to throw my kindle out the window - and jump after it. Because... Super Mega Trigger warning: SPIDERS. Just no. No. That was too much Emma. Ew. No. Just don't do something like that ever again in any book. *stillshuddering* I'm not talking a little spider walking by us - nope. I will have nightmares for the next 128 decades!

I started reading - or even as I was reading the blurb - and then when I started reading I had such a strong deja vu feeling. Everything felt so familiar! It was so weird. I almost stopped reading because I thought that Emma just re-released a book that I've read 10 years ago or something like that.
But I guess not. Anyway...

I still liked reading it. It was really funny and sparky and sexy. But it was also a tiny bit too pranky and Home Alone-y for my tastes. At least the first half of the book. And that spider scene needs to be mentioned here again, because I still can't believe I kept on reading.
But the second part was cute and yeah - we got that 3rd act break up part, but it was still cute and I loved the many epiloguey scenes.

A VERY GOOD BAD IDEA was a very funny, sparky, pranky, sexy and slightly crazy Forced proximity, Enemies to Lovers Small Town Romance. We get some heartbreaking and sad moments too. And there's a doggy! Read it!

🏳️‍🌈 The Feeder Legacy (The Vampire Dominion Series #1) 🏳️‍🌈 Louisa Masters 🏳️‍🌈

When the family secret is a history of being lunch…

I don’t have the best track record when it comes to jobs. Since finishing uni, I’ve been drifting from hospo to retail and back again, searching for something that will hold my interest and leaving a trail of irritated wanker bosses behind me.

When I once again find myself unemployed, my long-lost cousin steps in with a fantastic opportunity. Turns out, when my parents decided to walk away from the family, they left a generational business as well, and there’s a job waiting for me if I want it.

The catch? Vampires are real, and they’ll pay to drink my blood.

The Barale family sets the gold-star standard for vampire feeders, and the mere mention of my name gets me a job with a salary and benefits beyond my wildest dreams. In return, I need to move into a vampire’s house and offer him my wrist twice a day. Simple.

Except my new community—including my vampire, Tristan—doesn’t know that I’m clueless about their world, and it’s more complicated and dangerous than I thought. I’ve got to keep my head down and mouth shut while I learn the basics. How hard can it be?

After all, I’m a legacy.

A new series from Louisa Masters - yes please.

And having it set in my and Louisa's home country of Australia - woohoo, even better!

I really enjoyed The Feeder Legacy.  Adam hits all the right notes for me. He's got an amazing friend group, but he is also the one who they are always asking "what have you got yourself into this time?" kind of vibe.

Tristan is such a prickly pear, but gosh I love everything about him.  I get why he is how he is, and the way Adam is with him

But oh my lord, Clive! Clive and Adam give me Eve and Somerset from JD Robb's In Death series vibes.  They are fun, the banter between them is hilarious

There was something that was just a little... missing (this is a me thing all together) however that is because there is more to come from there series,

The Feeder Legacy is a fun start to the Vampire Dominion series, and I look forward to what comes next.

🏳️‍🌈 🏒 From A to Us (Vermont Trailblazers #3) 🏒 Amy Aislin 🏒 🏳️‍🌈

Eli worked his butt off to earn a spot with the Vermont Trailblazers, and he has absolutely no intention of losing it. Unfortunately, his second NHL season has brought a sophomore slump, an endless parade of team obligations, and the possibility that enthusiasm might not be enough to keep his plates spinning—or keep him from being sent to the minors. So naturally, this is the perfect time for Nolan Madolora—his coach’s son, his sister’s ex, and the man Eli had an impossible crush on a decade ago—to walk back into his life.

Nolan knows a thing or two about not fitting in, which makes getting paid to figure out why the Trailblazers work so well together almost funny—he’s in Vermont to conduct a team culture audit and deliver an objective assessment. What he shouldn’t do is get involved with one of the players, especially when that man is Eli Parker: his ex’s little brother, ten years his junior, and all grown up in ways Nolan is trying very hard not to notice.

When Nolan and Eli stumble across an old set of unsent letters at the arena, amateur sleuthing gives them an excuse to spend more time together—and makes ignoring their growing attraction increasingly impossible to resist. Eli’s old crush has a chance of becoming something very real, while Nolan’s carefully maintained objectivity doesn’t stand a chance against the one person he never thought to look at twice. The closer they get—to the truth and to each other—the harder it becomes to remember all the reasons getting involved is a terrible idea.

Copy received from author for an honest reivew

Another wonderful installment of the Vermont Trailblazers series from Amy Aislin, and I think it is my favourite. Yes. Probably.

I enjoy a book when the sports star is not all yes, I am the favourite, I am amazing, look at me go.  Eli is struggling with a sophomore slump, and using a saying my boss likes to say,he is like an old bed sheet - spreading himself really thin and covering a lot of areas, doing way too much.

He is one bad game away from cracking.

Nolan - coach's son, Eli's long time crush, and now he is in front of Eli every day.

Oh, but what could go wrong here - or really, really right?

And when a bit of a mystery drops in their laps, well, who can resist trying to solve it?

I really enjoyed- particularly Nolan's - dedications to solving their little mystery.

All the while they are falling for each other.  It really is quite a sweet and wholesome story.  It is found family, friendships, the struggles we all have in life, and finally belonging.

I also really enjoyed seeing more of the couples from the previous books, and how they all are one big family.

It is always sad when a favourite series ends, but on to new beginnings.
