❅ Snowy Mountains Promise (Bundilla #3)❅ Alissa Callen ❅

Available 1/2/2023

A town scandal. A kelpie chaperone. A winter ball. The bush telegraph has never had so much to talk about...

A delightfully charming rural story about love and healing from bestselling Australian author Alissa Callen.

Hettie Burbrook is the first to admit she's happiest when flying solo through the outback skies. After her hobby of photographing farmers lands her a book deal, it provides the ideal cover story to visit small-town Bundilla. But every photograph brings her closer to uncovering the answers behind why she is really in the mountains...

Deer farmer Taite Lancaster is as strong as the tempered steel he welds into lifelike animal sculptures. Unlike his father, he will never allow feelings to break him. But when the old school friend of his twin sister lands on the airstrip of their high-country station, he knows he's in trouble. Hettie is the one woman he can't forget.

While determined to keep to themselves, between dog races, a ute muster and a winter ball, Hettie and Taite are forced to face how much they need each other. And when a long-buried scandal erupts into the present, relationships and lives are threatened.

Welcome back to Bundilla, a small town with big secrets.

I really enjoy this series. I moved from the city to a small town some years back, and I tell you, there is no escaping the eyes and ears that see and hear every move you make (I sneezed in my back yard once, and someone the street over called back Bless You lol.)

I liked Hettie and Taite's story, and their quest to solve a 50 year old family mystery. The drama/scandal isn't that bad, but it does take over Hettie's life.  She's not good with those pesky things called emotions, but she is great at getting stuck into a mystery.

And let'st not forget the star of the series, Bundy. I smiled every time that pupper was on the page.

It is a real, real slow burn of a story. Even though I liked Hettie and Taite, I think at times I liked the secondary characters more. I looove Brenna and need more of her in the future.

When USA Today bestselling author Alissa Callen isn't writing, she plays traffic controller to four children, three dogs, two horses and one renegade cow who believes the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. After a childhood spent chasing sheep on the family farm, Alissa has always been drawn to remote areas and small towns, even when residing overseas. She is partial to autumn colours, snowy peaks and historic homesteads and will drive hours to see an open garden. Once a teacher and a counsellor, she remains interested in the life journeys that people take. She draws inspiration from the countryside around her, whether it be the brown snake at her back door or the resilience of bush communities in times of drought or flood. Her books are characteristically heartwarming, authentic and character driven. Alissa lives on a small slice of rural Australia in central western NSW.

All she wanted for Christmas was a boyfriend for the holidays
All he wanted was for her to take her crappy first dates elsewhere

Quirky Holly Jackson was unlucky in love, yet her romantic heart refused to give up her search for companionship
even after her fiancé left her at the altar on Christmas Eve.

Grumpy restaurant owner Kai Kane wanted nothing to do with love. Unfortunately for him, when an eccentric Holly kept entering his restaurant nightly with a different first date, his annoyance grew.

When Kai volunteered to help Holly find a suitor it was for one reason only: to get her out of his restaurant and on to a second date with someone at a different location.

It was all going great until Kai became increasingly jealous of the connection Holly developed with another man. The more Holly fell for Kai’s pick for her, the more overprotective he became.

Kai quickly realized that all wasn’t fair when it came to love and the holidays.

He was going to have to step up his game if he wanted a shot at the ultimate prizebeing Hollys favorite date.

*The Holly Dates is a steamy, full-length romantic comedy.*

Holly + Kai

Almost a year ago Holly was left at the altar. She should be done with dating for a while now, right? Nope. She wants to find true love. Or at least someone to take home to her parents for the holidays.
But serial dating and dating apps seem to work against her.
That's where Kai enters the picture. He's the owner of the new bar/restaurant close to her apartment. The place where Holly takes all her first dates. And Kai can't stand to witnees those sad dates no longer - he decides to help Holly.

Let the fun times begin!

I just loved this! I love Christmas - give me ALL the holiday romances! And this was just so adorable and funny and sweet and a bit heartbreaking. Just the perfect rom-com!
This should definitely be on Netflix next year!

I don't want to tell you too much.
We get the grumpy super hot bar owner hero who 'raises' his 15 year old brother and the amazingly beautiful plus size romance author heroine.
Both have been very hurt by previous relatinships. They would be perfect for each other. Their meet cute was not really a romance novel worthy meet cute. But Holly is determined to befriend her new neighbor.
It might take them a while to get to that happy end with each other - with all those dating app dates and whatnots... but it's so worth it to follow them on that journey!
So adorable.

THE HOLLY DATES was such an adorable and sweet and funny holiday rom-com! Run to your next book dealer for your own Kai - this one is MINE!
