πŸ’ Juicy Rebound (IceCats #1) πŸ’ Toni Aleo πŸ’ Blog Tour πŸ’

Available January 29, 2019

Chandler Moon’s career as a defensemen for the IceCats is on fire. However, his marriage has gone up in flames…literally. He’s resigned himself to the single life and being the best dog dad he can be, but he still holds out hope that one day he’ll find “The One.” So, imagine his surprise when he runs into “The One Who Got Away.”

Amelia Justice.

His best friend’s baby sister.

AKA: “The One Who Is Totally Off-Limits”

Amelia is broken. The punches that life, and her ex-husband, have thrown at her have her down for the count. She’s cut herself off from her family and friends as she works to rebuild her self-esteem and her spirit. Hidden away in a small town, she never expects to reconnect with “The One She Should Have Chosen.”

Chandler is so much more than he was in college: more handsome, more muscular, more tattooed… It was supposed to be a casual fling while Amelia and Chandler worked to put the pieces of their lives back together.

But as every good hockey player knows, a rebound can turn into one hell of a goal.

I have been a huuuuge fan of Ms Aleo's Assassins series, and she has not disappointed me with this first IceCats book (though in my head I am calling this Assassins: The Next Generation).

We have already had the story of Ryan Justice, and now we have the story of his sister and his best friend.

Oh how I love Amelia and Chandler.  Right from the very first time we meet them in Juicy Rebound, I was hooked.

The Justice family is a strong one, however the past few years has seen them fracture.  Amelia is so strong, yet has been emotionally broken.  My heart hurts for her (and the rest of the Justice family) as they try to find their way back to each other.

Chandler - le sigh.  After what he has been through, you can't blame him for being gun shy when it comes to women - well, except for his Amelia.

Their story is one of loving when you don't feel like you are worthy.  Not just intimate love, but also familial love.

This book really pulled at my heartstrings, as I went from laughter to tears, sometimes in the space of just a chapter or two.

I did enjoy seeing a little of my first Assassins love, Shea.  Oh that man 😍😍😍

This was a fantastic start to this new series, and I am looking forward to where the IceCats take us next.

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.

I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.

I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!

When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.

I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.

… and did I mention I love hockey?

I have only read one other Charlotte Nash story previous to Saving You, however from just that one read I knew I was going to read more in the future.

Saving You is a beautiful story full of heartbreak, full of hope, full of love.

My heart hurts for Mallory as her douchey husband does really douchey things.  I am also her biggest cheerleader as she takes life by the balls and embarks on an odyssey to get her son back.

And oh, how you can't help but love her travel companions! I couldn't help but laugh, cry and get frustrated with them, right along with Mallory.

However, this is more than an across-the-pond journey to get Mallory's son.

It is a story of not living life with regrets, of never giving up, and also about a second chance at love.

The emotions leapt off the pages and into my heart.  I didn't want to put Saving You down once I started it (darn adulting getting in the way of my reading though).

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I look forward to what Ms Nash brings us next.

† Slayer † Kiersten White †

Into every generation a Slayer is born…

Nina and her twin sister, Artemis, are far from normal. It’s hard to be when you grow up at the Watcher’s Academy, which is a bit different from your average boarding school. Here teens are trained as guides for Slayers—girls gifted with supernatural strength to fight the forces of darkness. But while Nina’s mother is a prominent member of the Watcher’s Council, Nina has never embraced the violent Watcher lifestyle. Instead she follows her instincts to heal, carving out a place for herself as the school medic.

Until the day Nina’s life changes forever.

Thanks to Buffy, the famous (and infamous) Slayer that Nina’s father died protecting, Nina is not only the newest Chosen One—she’s the last Slayer, ever. Period.

As Nina hones her skills with her Watcher-in-training, Leo, there’s plenty to keep her occupied: a monster fighting ring, a demon who eats happiness, a shadowy figure that keeps popping up in Nina’s dreams…

But it’s not until bodies start turning up that Nina’s new powers will truly be tested—because someone she loves might be next.

One thing is clear: Being Chosen is easy. Making choices is hard.

I am a huuuuuuge Buffy fan. I could recite every episode backwards in Swahili I have watched the show that many times.

So it was a no brainer to read Slayer and get back into the Buffyverse in any kind of way.

I went into Slayer with no expectations - whether good or bad - I just wanted to dive in an let it be.

I loved the referenced to Buffy and Giles. I laughed at references to other characters in the TV series.

Nina.  I think we can all feel like her, that we don't fit in at times.  Her sister Artermis?  Well, the jury is still out on her at the moment.  She is kind of the Dawn to Buffy.

However, Nina did come across as a whiney 5 year old rather than a 16 year old.  And maaaaan can she hold a sill grudge. At times I wanted to hit her over the head with my book and tell her to build a bridge and get the heck over it.

I (mostly) liked the characters in Slayer.  I did feel that the so-called Watchers had been neutered, and that the teenagers were doing their jobs for them, which was disappointing.

I did like the witty banter between the characters, though some of it would fall flat if you didn't know the Buffy series.

So whilst I didn't love Slayer, I didn't hate it either.  I liked it enough to see where this series goes in the future.

✪ Resist (Wild Nights #3) ✪ KM Golland ✪ Blog Tour and Giveaway ✪

Title: Resist

Series: Wild Nights #3
Author: K.M. Golland
Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance

Cover Design: Hang Le
Release Date: January 22, 2019

Can you resist what you shouldn’t have?

When wealthy businesswoman, Helena Smerdon, purchases Australia’s most popular male strip revue, the tight-knit group of men are set for an unexpected shake-up.

Helena is not a woman to be messed with: powerful, strong-willed, and confident. She plans to assert her authority and make Wild Nights Revue the very best it can be, regardless of who she aggravates along the way.

Lucas Malone is the newest member of the group. He’s fresh, ambitious, and keen to make his mark. But he wants to do more than impress his new boss; he wants to undress for her, both on and off stage.

Intense chemistry and forbidden attraction make it difficult for Helena and Lucas to resist one another. But they must; she’s his boss, and he’s not much older than her son. And if that isn’t enough to keep them apart, her disgruntled ex-husband sure as hell will.

This book is an interconnecting standalone novel in the Wild Nights series. It's for mature audiences (18+) and contains explicit language and sexual content.

It has been a while since we have spent some time with the boys of Wild Nights revue - but what a way to jump back in.

I have been waiting for Lucas aka Dimps story since I read the first books. And it was well worth every second of the wait.

Lucas and the boss lady Helena's story was so much fun. It is full of sexiness and suspense and so much sexual tension, you can cut it with a knife. I mean gees, those proximity pheromones leap off the pages!

I loved that this is an older woman/younger man story. We get so many the other way around, or the woman is made out to be a pervy cougar, yet it is not this way with Helena and Dimps.

I love the way the Dimps makes Helena feel. As her story unfolds, you can understand why she resists him for so long, and I love how he keeps trying with her. They have thei stru Sigh... I mean I wish he was all over me like a rash like he is with Helena, but I guess we can't all be that lucky!

It was great being back on the road with the boys - and of course Cori (and her obsession with seeing the "big things" - I may have planned holidays around seeing "big things" in the day - no, NOT those kind of big things lol).

I thoroughly enjoyed Resist, and I know you won't be able to resist it either.

I can't wait to see what Ms Golland brings us next.

Lucas was pleasuring himself in the stairwell when I first laid eyes upon him. Taut, slick muscles tense with self-indulgence as he slowly worked his cupped hand up and down his cock. I opened my mouth, ready to object to his actions in a public place but instead paused, unable to look away as he tilted his head back, eyelids pressed shut while twitching.

Pleasure pinched deep within my body, and I clamped my bottom lip between my teeth. His oiled skin held a caramel glow, and his light brown hair was flecked with golden hues that caught the light with each jerking movement he made. Everything about him was deliciously herculean, and if I weren’t roughly twenty years his senior, I’d have propped myself against the concrete wall and enjoyed the show a while longer.

“Come on,” he grunted, the speed of his cupped hand increasing. “Yeah, that’s it, almost … there.”
Frustration ground his teeth together and crinkled his nose, and my God his facial features were beautiful yet virile and vexed.

Swallowing, I quietly stepped back, careful not to tap the five-inch heel of my stiletto on the step behind me. Lucas was the baby and newest member of Wild Nights Male Revue, and knowing I shouldn’t bear witness to what he was doing, I cleared my throat just as his shoulders tensed and his hips jerked.

Cum shot into his hand, and the guttural growl that left his body vibrated right through me, leaving my fingertips tingling. I swallowed for a second time right before startled, greyish blue eyes found mine, a soft red glow emanating from his cheeks.

“What the fuck?” Lucas turned to face the wall, grabbed the small white towel dangling from the waistband of his trousers, and wiped his hands, his head rotating every other second to glance back at me. “You’re not supposed to be back here. It’s a restricted area. You need to leave.”

I almost smiled. Almost. But quickly composed myself by brushing my hands down the front of my navy skirt to smooth any creases before standing straight and crossing my arms over my chest, my perfectly manicured eyebrow cocked with supremacy. “I’m sorry, but I have every right to be here, Lucas.”

“What?” He furrowed his brow as he tucked himself back into his pants, fumbling with the zip.

“What do you mean you have every right to be here?”

This time I did smile, but it was far from friendly. “I’m Helena, your new boss.”
