Bishop Scott, co-captain. Not too shabby, huh? It’s all part
of my fresh start with the NHL’s latest expansion team, and that means new
teammates, a new coach, a new city, and a big new contract. Basically, I cannot
f***ing wait to show my old squad what they’re missing.
But first, I decide to check out the town before the grind
begins. Turns out Arizona chicks are totally smokin’, and I’m fortunate enough
to meet one who’s looking for the same thing I am: a night of anonymous,
unforgettable, no-strings-attached sex.
Fast forward to the Vengeance arena. It’s the last place I
expect to see her again—let alone
in her own office. Then bells go off and I finally realize who this girl
is: Brooke Perron. My new coach’s daughter. All of a sudden, we’re picking up right where we left off, which means our hands
are all over each other. That’s when her dad—my boss—walks in. And before I can get a word out, Brooke’s introducing me as her fiancé.
Bishop just arrived in Phoenix to play for their new NHL team. He's not really excited about that fact. His NY team was about to have an amazing season. But now that he's here, he might as well make the best of it. Meaning: finding the next willing lady in this bar.

A new Hockey series! Yay!
Well, I would've preferred something a bit different - maybe football or rockstars, but ... why not another hockey series!? Lots of eye candy. ☺
And Bishop gave us a great first book.
It was funny and verrry sexy right from the start!
They start as a one-night stand that has to turn into a longer thing because they have to pretend to be together in front of her dad. And while pretending they might be falling for each other.
But of course a few obstacles stand in the way of our happy end.
I really enjoyed this book.
It was erotic and fun and sweet and I adored how much Bishop and Dax adored his mom! Too cute.
A lot of other players were introduced - there's a lot of material in Phoenix! ☺
Can't wait to see what Erik will be up to next! And Tacker!!! When will we get his book?!
I had some problems with the writing...as with every Sawyer book. It wasn't mega bad this time - but I still have to mention it.
It's Sawyer's and my THING ☺ It's only me who has those problems with her writing. So please don't be worried or just scroll down and don't read the following...
I have a HUGE AS problem! ☺ You know the AS's I'm talking about? The AS that could/should be exchanged for a SINCE or a BECAUSE or just a comma/dot/pause/whatever.☺ It's a British and or legal thing (if it's a thing at all!) and it doesn't have anything to do in an American book by an American author. I would be ok with it if one (British) character would use it, but everyone uses it! I really don't want to insult Sawyer. I love her books, but ... please stop doing it. But pfff who am I to tell her what to do, so just forget I said anything! It doesn't stop her books from being great!
BISHOP was a fun & erotic first book in this new hockey series! Great start!

This book starts with one heck of a bang, and I was hooked from then on.
Bishop and Brooke's relationship may not start in the most conventional way, but there is no denying the attraction between them - I mean, you can feel the pheromones flying between them, and the sexual tension can be cut with a knife!
I liked that even though they have their issues, there is nothing too OTT dramatic for our lovelies. They deal with things like adults, no pouty, stupid fights for no reason, they do this thing called "communicating" and sort their sh!t out!
There is something that made me get all stabby, and I feel that it is going to play a part in further books in the series, but I am not sure. I had such a visceral reaction to them - in that I wanted to put my hand into my kindle and slap them stupid!
It was great getting to know a little about the other guys in the Vengeance, and there is one there (not saying who) that I know is going to break my heart when we get to his story - and I can't wait!
Sweet, sexy, hot and funny, I really enjoyed Bishop and can't wait to see what happens next for the Vengeance.
