Never trust a man who answers the front door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk.

That should’ve been my first sign.

I write about guys just like him for a living
sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic fuckboy.

And I want nothing to do with that.

Writing romance novels comes with its perks
traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my headbut Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges all my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you.

One week is all it took. One week to realize that not everything is as it seems.

One week with the bad boy, and I wanted more.

Chicago Romance writer Vada needs a vacation to finally get her new book written - off to Charleston she goes. She rented a little guesthouse from a guy online.
But she wasn't expecting this mega-hot, shirtless guy to open the door.
Ethan makes his money creating beautiful pottery pieces. He's a huge internet hit with his live videos of making his famous coffee mugs. He also has a very sad past.
But Vada thinks he's just one of those horrible bad boys she's always writing about.
They do NOT get along at first!
But of course they're also very attracted to each other.
Lots of banter and arguin and flirting ensue!

What will happen to Vada & Ethan?
Will there be a HEA?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!!!!

That was adorable!
And funny. And erotic!
But also moving and sad.
Great romance!
Great characters, a beautiful location, lots of fun and sexy times!
 I really enjoyed reading it!
I so want to rent Ethan's cottage now! ☺

But ... I was also hoping for a bit more. I don't even know what I mean by that.
I loved Ethan and his sad past and Vada was really great too. But the story was a bit flat/ordinary for my tastes. Some of the jokes were horribly unfunny, everything was too predictable and... no idea. I expected something a bit more ... fresh, new, inspired, amazing. There was a lot of potential for more ...
And the cover - not my thing. The guy looks like a 22-year-old Chippendale - not a 30-year-old potter with a sad past!

And the writing. Just like with all other Kennedy Fox books, I had my problems with the way those ladies write. I have no idea why. I was thinking that it's a local dialect kind of problem - but Brooke and Lyra are from different places! I know I'm weird with my book problems, but ... some expressions are just strange or wrong and ... no idea. I can't explain it. But when I finished this book and started my next one, I immediately noticed the difference in the writing - the new book just flowed so much better for my weird brain. No offense B+L - I love your books and will keep on reading them. I'm just so very weird with many book things!!!

BUT - all that doesn't mean that the book sucked! Nooo - it's just my weird weirdness when it comes to books. Or maybe I just had an off day! PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO ME - READ IT!

Also, I'm really excited to see where book #2 will take us - on the road with a cover model!!! ☺☺☺

MY WEEK WITH THE BAD BOY was an adorable & funny & sexy & moving romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Ethan - this one and his Patrick Swayze pottery machine are SO mine!!!!

.... is on vacation - review coming asap!

And she's baaaa-aaack!!

I have adored the Kennedy Fox/Cumberland-Parish collaborations I have read to date (ie, all of them), and  now they duo have "come out" of the writing closet, nothing has changed.

My Week With The Bad Boy is cute and sweet and sexy, with a dose of sadness and frustration thrown in for good measure.

I adored Vada - she made me wonder if this was the process that our lovely writers go through as they push their writing deadlines.  Did they rent out a cottage from a hottie artist for inspiration/

I am sure sure what I was expecting - maybe with this title of this book, I was expecting something a little different?  I don't mean this in a bad way, I think I was just not expecting something so emotional?  There was some darkness and sadness in this story that I guess I wasn't expecting?  Gah, who knows what I mean ( I am pretty certain I don't get where I am coming from!)

My Week With The Bad Boy is all that and a bag of chips.  I laughed, I cried, I threw my kindle in frustration.

Ignore my ramblings (I don't think I am quite over my jetlag just yet).  Pick up this book and read it, you won't be disappointed.

Kennedy Fox is the duo of bestselling authors Brooke Cumberland & Lyra Parish who share a love of You’ve Got Mail and The Holiday. When they aren’t bonding over romantic comedies, they like to brainstorm new book ideas. One day, they decided to collaborate together under a pseudonym and have some fun creating new characters that’ll make your lady bits tingle and your heart melt. If you enjoy romance stories with sexy, tattooed alpha males and smart, independent women, then a Kennedy Fox book is for you! Both authors are from Manhattan living the glamorous bachelorette life, or perhaps they’re just confusing themselves with an episode of Sex and the City (Total #Girlcrush SJP). Either way, they’re looking forward to bringing you many more stories to fall in love with!

Brooke Cumberland is a USA Today Bestselling author who wears many hats on any given day. She also co-writes under the USA Today Bestselling Duo pseudonym, Kennedy Fox with her literary soul mate. She lives in the frozen tundra of Packer Nation with her husband, 6-year-old wild child, and two teenage stepsons. When she’s not writing, you can find her reading love stories, listening to music that inspires her, and laughing with her family. Brooke is addicted to Starbucks coffee, leggings, and naps. She found her passion for telling stories during winter break one year in grad school--and she hasn’t stopped since.

Lyra Parish loves to write, glamp, and sing obnoxiously loud at the top of her lungs in the shower. Sweet love stories (along with the dirty ones) make her gush. She is a firm believer that a person can never have too many cups of coffee, cats, or happily ever afters. When she isn't busy writing under bestselling pseudonym Kennedy Fox with Brooke Cumberland, she can be found sipping various beverages from her non-alcoholic drink buffet, pimp slapping excel spreadsheets, or riding her bike. Lyra lives in Texas with her glassblowing, guitar-playing hubby and black cat named Nibbler.
