✪ Rush (The Beat and The Pulse #9) ✪ Amity Cross ✪

Ryan Harper used to love a girl named Jade Forsyth, until she chose someone else.

Walking away from the only woman hed ever loved and clawing his way up from the bottom, hes on the cusp of making it in the world of professional MMA. Hes spent his life being put down because of his working class roots, but now hes made something out of himself. Something he can be proud of.

When a chance meeting on a Melbourne street sends his unrequited love spiralling into his life once more, hell do anything to show her theres more to herand lifethan how much money is in her bank account, the clothes she wears, and how much overtime she puts in at work. Life is for livingand loving.

But when the rush wears off, will Jade see his feelings are real? Or is history destined to repeat itself?

ARC received for an honest review

Unrequited love is a b!tch. But what would you do if the person you had been in love with for years fell back into your life.

That is the question Ryan Harper needs to answer.

Ryan and Jade's story isn't an easy one.  Their history isn't all sweet, and their present is anything but hearts and flowers.

But oh did I want it to be!  I adore Jade, I really do.  But I did want to slap some sense into her at times, make her wake up and smell the roses, see what is in front of her, pull her head out off her a$$.

Ryan - he is all kinds of swoonworthy. I was talking to Jade (well, OK I was talking to myself) whilst I was reading, telling her that if she didn't want Ryan I would gladly take him off her hands!

This story though - boy, did it have me in all kinds of a mess.  It had me in tears, it had me rigid with rage, it had me wanting to throw my kindle across the room - all signs of a good book to me!

Told in dual POV,  Rush is well balanced, giving us great insight to both our MCs thoughts and motivations, and kept me wanting more.

Please Ms Cross, I need more of this series.  Please don't leave me waiting too long!
