If you have read Chase Lovett Wants Me, you have met our lovelies for Mac Meyers Needs Me - and man, you are in for a treat with it.
It is also all Toronto Terror adjacent, so you will see a lot of them here too.
We the reader know that Fee and Mac are perfect for each other. All of their friends know it. Heck, half of the Terror family know them and know they should be together. But boy oh boy do they take their time getting past the friends to more hurdle! Fauxmances are always so much fun for us readers, seeing the lightbulb moment for our lovelies.
For me, I did feel that the family drama regarding Fee and Lexi's families was a bit overdone, but this is just a me thing.
I loved that we also got lots of BTS hockey stuff with Feel and Mac, not just hockey games - I love love love hockey and want it in my books, not just that he is a hockey player.
We also get a looky loo at the next Tilton couplings. So bring it on!
Fee + Mac
We remember both from previous books.
Fee is an art student and Mac is the most eligible college hockey bachelor. And that's the problem. He has to concentrate on hockey this year - he's not playing well. And he can't have girls throwing themselves at him 351 times a day.
Enter Fee - part of his close friends circle - and his crush. And she's also super crushing on him too - which obviously neither of them knows about the other. But still - Fee offers to play his fake girlfriend to keep the fangirls away.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN....
Adorable!
I loved reading this.
It was funny and sweet and sparky and college-y and hockey-y and artsy and just so dang adorable!
The reader knows that those two are perfect for each other. Even their friends know that they really like-like each other. But they're just so not there yet. Fee is still grieving her parents and she doesn't want to chance losing another person she loves and Mac doesn't want to be known as the guy who used his girlfriend's Terror connections to get ahead in his hockey future. Adorable.
We also get some sad moments talking about Fee's parents and I kind of wanted a bit less of that. It gets talked about a lot and that and a few other things felt a bit repetitive for me. But I still adored this story. Amazing cast - plus all the cameos! I loved it. Finished it in a day!
Can't wait to read the upcoming books about all the darlings who are still single!
