✪ Gallery Of The Dead ✪ Chris Carter ✪

Thirty-seven years in the force, and if I was allowed to choose just one thing to erase from my mind, whats inside that room would be it.

Thats what a LAPD Lieutenant tells Detectives Hunter and Garcia of the Ultra Violent Crimes Unit as they arrive at one of the most shocking crime scenes they have ever attended.

In a completely unexpected turn of events, the detectives find themselves joining forces with the FBI to track down a serial killer whose hunting ground sees no borders; a psychopath who loves what he does because to him murder is much more than just killing its an art form.

Welcome to The Gallery of the Dead.

Chris Carter is a new to me author, and although Gallery Of The Dead is part of a series, I had no trouble reading this as a stand alone.

I am a huge fan of true crime shows, so I love immersing myself in a good crime book, trying to Sherlock my way through it, seeing if I can figure out whodunnit.

The book is an amazing psychological thriller that had me anxious to turn each page, never knowing what sick kind of surprise would be waiting for us next.

It was an addictive read.  I spent my nights reading way past my bedtime, telling myself just one more chapter - and an hour later still engrossed in the pages.

I went down the rabbit hole along with Hunter, Garcia and the FBI.  There is a great story line, well rounded characters (as they should be by book 9!) and twists and turns that will have you wondering what will happen next.

I am so glad I took a chance on Gallery of The Dead, and I will be going back and reading the earlier books in this series soon.

After the ending we just got, I can't wait to see where Chris Carter takes us next.
