ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review

Though this is the second book in the Oxford series I have not read the first and this did not take away from I Wish You Were Mine.

In fact, this is my first Lauren Layne read and I enjoyed it.

I adored Mollie from the prologue - at her sister's wedding.  And as the book progressed I adored her even more.  Except for one thing.

Her sister Madison is a 100% certified grade A b*^th who had a hold over Mollie that I  just couldn't understand. I knew she is her sister but jeez louise she is a nasty piece of work.

Even harder for Mollie is that the guy she has been in love with forever is her sister's ex husband Jackson.

It took me a while (after the prologue) to warm up to Jackson, but once I did I could see why he stole Mollie's heart.  I just wanted to give him a big old hug, or a slap around the ears depending on what he was doing at the time.

The thing that irked me though was the amount of book time given to the sister Madison.  I know she is a big part of Mollie's life and was a big part of Jackson's, but it seemed it could have been her book rather than theirs at times (but this might just be me).

I adored the attraction and banter between Jackson and Mollie, and could feel the pull between them leaping off the pages.

I will definitely be going back to read the first in this series, and can't wait for more Oxfords - bring on Lincoln

(really more like a 3.75 stars!)
