✿ When You're Back (Rosemary Beach #12) ✿ Abbi Glines ✿

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the next new adult novel in her beloved Rosemary Beach series, which continues the story of Mase and Reese from When Im Gone.

The future is bright for Reese Ellis. She has Mase Colt-Manning, the man of her dreams, and a family she didn
t know existed until her long-lost father arrived on her doorstep in Rosemary Beach. After growing up with a cruel mother and abusive stepfather, Reese is eager to get to know the caring and charming man who wants to be a part of her life. Everything is finally falling into place.

While Reese is visiting her new family in
Chicago, Mase spends time with his cousin, Aida, who has worshipped him since childhood. Though theyre unrelated by blood, Mase and Aida have been raised to think of each other as family. But when Reese returns, she can tell something isnt quite right with Aida, who clearly resents Reese and excels at manipulative little games. And though Mase is unsuspecting, Reese knows Aida doesnt love him like a cousin should.

Copy received from Simon & Schuster Australia for an honest review

Though this is book 12 of the Rosemary Beach series, you could skip some (as I have done) but you would need to read at least book 11, When I'm Gone, for the start of Mase and Reese's relationship.  There will be a few spoilery things for if/when you do go back to read the rest though.

After the surprise at the end of When I'm Gone, When You're Back picks up a few weeks later.

After everything that Reese has gone through, is has been wonderful being on the journey as she really blooms.  Now in Texas, things have got to get better - right?

Enter Aida - Mase's "cousin" and Reese's competition - or so Aida thinks.

You know what, I really didn't think that the Aida storyline really needed to be included in When You're Back.  I guess she was there to add a bit of angst and anger to the story, but with everything else that was going on with Reese, it felt a bit superfluous.  But this could just be me.

There are some great secondary characters.  I loved that we get a bit more of Grant and Harlow, and though Captain/River seems to be really disliked by a lot of people, as the story progressed I did like him (even when he frustrated me), and at the end it was like "woah".

And the scenes with Kiro - broke my heart - again!

Ms Glines has again cast a spell over me with this Rosemary Beach novel.  As soon as I picked up When You're Back, I couldn't put it down. I got swept away with the story and did not want it to end.

I am looking forward to what she brings us next.
