As a woman who has only ever had a few real friends shes trying to muddle through her confusion and devastation all alone. Except she cant stop thinking about the sexy southern bartender she locked up. Crushing on Asa is the last thing she needs but his allure is too strong to resist. His long criminal record can only hurt her already shaky career and chasing after a guy who has no respect for the law or himself can only end in heartbreak.

A longtime criminal and a cop together just seems so wrong . . . but for Asa and Royal, being wrong together is the only right choice to make.

ARC received for an honest review

Firstly, can I say this cover - humina humina!!!

As I have read each book in this series, I have said "oh no one is going to be better than ..." and inserted the name of the last Marked man I read.

I have to say though, Asa definitely overtaken all the Marked men for me!  Reformed bad boy and all that?  Yeah, I think that is it.

You remember Asa, Ayden (Jet's wife) is her sister.  He started working at the Bar back in Rome?  In Rowdy we started to notice his interest in Saint's friend Royal Hastings?

Well, let's just ramp things up 10000%!

After the incident at the end of Rowdy, Royal has started to go off the rails.  She was interested in Asa before, but now she is what he wants, and boy does she go after it!

I could feel Royal's pain, he despondence over things that were not her fault and out of her control.  That downward spiral is a hard thing to break out of.

Asa knows a cop and criminal is never going to be a good match, and fights off Royal's advances so much longer than any average man can.  He is still riddle with guilt over things he has done in his past, how what he has done has affected his sister, her friends.

He is trying to reform, but even as he tries, he knows that there is no promise he won't stuff things up again.  And the last thing he wants to do is take the beautiful policewoman with her.

There is that spark, that mutual want, maybe even need between this pair.  It is like a vortex that drags them towards each other.

But can the cop and the criminal really be the best thing for each other?  Or are they on a journey that is bound to end in disaster?

Nope, you are going to have to read for yourself to find out!

There is so much passion, so much raw emotion in Asa.  Both our MC's are so broken at this point in their lives, that they are just being, but not really living.  This book had me running the whole range of emotions as I was drawn right into the world of these sexy, tattooed me.

It is bittersweet finishing Asa, as I know it is the end of the Marked Men, and I know I am going to miss these characters, as they feel like family. We have been taken on their journey as they become loved up, sprogged up.

I hope we do get glimpses of them in the lives of the characters in the new series, the Saints of Denver.
