TEASER REVEAL & COVER SPOTLIGHT

Jennifer Chance and Loveswept are thrilled to share the hot cover and first-look teaser of FAKE IT, the second book in the Rule Breakers series published by Loveswept!

JENNIFER CHANCE - FAKE IT
• 224 pages
• release date - 01 July - 2014
Rule Breakers #2

Jenn: “This cover is perfect for Jake--right down to the biker-inspired smoky blue flame background behind the title. It really shows that Jake and Anna's adventure will be quite a ride!”

As her sizzling new series continues, Jennifer Chance sparks some serious combustion between a sexy biker and a corporate go-getter who’s ready to let her hair down.

New grad Anna Richardson works hard—so hard that she’s given up having a romantic life. Anna has even convinced her friends that she’s dating an amazing guy—who they’ve simply never met. But now Anna has a wedding to attend and needs to produce the hottie she’s been lying about for the past six months. Enter Jake Flynn, her infuriating, motorcycle-riding, jaw-droppingly gorgeous neighbor, who’s more than willing to fake it for a weekend. In fact, Jake won’t be satisfied until things get real.

Though Jake is only playing the role of adoring boyfriend, he’s starting to feel the heat, and judging by Anna’s sweet blush, so is she. Letting chemistry this intense go to waste would be a real shame. Soon, though, the thin line between fantasy and reality fades. Jake may not be what every buttoned-up fast-tracker wants, but he’s sure as hell what Anna needs. And if she takes a ride with him, their adventure never has to end.

TEASER REVEAL!

“Jake, the wedding would completely suck for you,” Anna protested. “My ex is a nightmare and you would hate all of my friends. You would think the whole thing is ridiculous—because it is.” He just watched her, maddeningly, his smile curving as she tried to sputter out her refusals. “You don’t want to do this. Trust me.”
“I just said I did.”
“But . . . you can’t . . . you wouldn’t . . .” Anna stopped, flustered. What was happening here? Was she actually turning down a viable date? “There’s so much you would have to memorize about Dave. There’s no way you’re going to want to do that.”
Jake just lifted his brows. “You know, for someone who’s just met me, you seem to know a lot about what I would and wouldn’t want to do.”
“I don’t! I mean, I can guess. But I just . . . can’t.” Anna swallowed. “Look, I appreciate it. If I strike out tonight, I’ll call you. How about that?”
“That sounds good.” Jake signaled to the bartender. “So I guess I should make sure you have my number, then.”
“Oh, well yes. I guess. Or, you know, I could just—” Before Anna could complete the sentence, Jake had a pen in his fingers. They were both leaning on the bar, their faces inches apart. He tipped the pen to its side, sliding its base alongside her jaw. The cool metal on her flushed skin startled her, and Anna’s gaze jumped to his. The challenge in his eyes was unmistakable.
“Hold out your hand, Anna,” he said, as if they weren’t in the middle of a crowded bar, in front of everyone.
“That’s not necessary,” she said quickly. “I have other people’s cards—you can just use—just write on one of those.”
His gaze grew hotter, more intense. “That’s no good,” he said. “You might lose it.”
Anna hesitated, then something was triggered deep inside her, and she felt a dangerous flicker of pleasure. She knew that flicker, remembered it from somewhere, even as life and work and responsibility had taught her to keep it doused, out of commission. It had been a long time since she’d let that fire burn.
But now Jake Flynn was positioned in front of her with gasoline and a blowtorch.
Someone cleared his throat beside them, and a disgruntled voice rang out. “Excuse me, I’m Gary, and your friend Lacey—”
“Take off, Gary,” Jake said without turning around. His gaze held hers. “Anna?”
Anna held out her hand, and Jake held her arm steady, cradling it with his fingers. Sensation rocketed through her at the intimate touch, intensifying sharply as she felt the smooth slide of ink on her skin. He wrote slowly, sensually, the pen tracing wickedly silken lines on the hypersensitive skin on the inside of her wrist, all the way down until he reached her palm. By the time he was finished, Anna was amazed she was still conscious. Then he glanced at her.
“Think it’s dry? Or should I blow on it?”

MY REVIEW FOR BOOK #1 - ROCK IT

About the story:

Lacey is 22 years old. She's been in love/lust with pop/rock-star Dante Falcone forever! But he doesn't know that of course.
But now her chance is finally here. She's working for the agency that represents Dante from now on and kind of accidentally she ends up being his 'manager' for the next two weeks ☺

Dante immediately sees something in Lacey when they meet for the first time. He can feel that she sees the real him. Not the person all his fans see.

And she does. She's had 8 years of collecting everything about him. Every last scrap of information.
Which is a tiny bit stalkerish ☺

Then there's the intense attraction they both feel. OK, Lacey always knew that he was SEXY HOT - but now that he's in the same room with her it's - WHOA !!
Instant mental Orgasms ☺☺☺

Dante hasn't been real happy with his life for a while now - and he's only 24!! He's been in this business since he was 14 years old!!

Now he's looking for more - a different kind of music, a different kind of girl - not those groupies he could have every second of every day. He just wants more - he wants his life to be different.
Mid-life-crisis at age 24??? ☺

Enter Lacey ☺

She brings all kinds of complications into his life.

But Dante wants to see where this thing with Lacey could go.

And Lacey has to decide if this could be the real thing - or if it's just this silly left-over teenie-infatuation with a rock star....

And then there's her beloved job on the line too....
what will she do?
What will happen???☺☺☺

I'M NOT TELLING YOU THAT OF COURSE... ☺

I don't want to spoil your reading pleasure ☺

I REALLY LOVED THE BOOK!!!

After finishing my review I read a few reviews on Goodreads - and I had to come back here to add this - I don't know why people are so critical about this book - yes there were some things that were a bit weird - but it was a great story!!!! o.O

BUT ... maybe it's just me...
Give a Navy SEAL or a Rock Star - and I'm TOTALLY FANGIRLING ☺☺☺

But I really don't think this book was bad??!?!
I really loved it.
I loved Dante - what's not to love about a sexy, sweet, RockStar without any of the horrible RockStar issues ☺

The story was the kind of fairy tale story every fan-girl dreams about!!
You're a fan of this guy and you work your way up to finally get close to him and then he falls in love with you??? Even though, or maybe because you're his biggest fan. You understand him - the real him!
Ugh - I sooo want to be Lacey!!! ☺

I really loved the sexiness of the book.
We don't have SEX all the time - totally unlike a Rockstar ☺
But they're really trying to start slow - but still very sexy!!!
I would've loved a bit more SEX ;)))

The only things that bothered me a bit...
first - this 'thing' they do towards the 70% mark of the book - I totally didn't understand what they were doing??? I got it then finally AFTER the fact - but while they were explaining it - to me - the reader - I didn't understand where they were going with it :( Might have been a bit too complicated for me...

Then the thing that I wish was different...
I wish the book had another 100 pages!
It feels like the editor made Jennnifer take out sooo many details.
This could have been an epic Rock-Star Erotic Romance - but there are just too many things missing.
That's how it felt to me at least.
I wanted to know soooo much more about Dante & Lacey's life - their history - their future - their feelings.
It's kind of like this insta-love thing that happens here....it's all a bit quick ☺

But that doesn't change the fact that I loved this book!!!!

If you like sexy New Adult romances with a HOT Rock-Star ----->>>
GO AND BUY THE BOOK ☺

I'm really looking forward to reading the other books in the series☺

About Jennnifer

(stolen from her homepage☺)

I come by romance honestly, having spent several years writing adult romance and entering romance contests through Romance Writers of America–including finaling twice in the prestigious Golden Heart contest and winning once. But despite these and other contest wins, my first published novel came not in adult romance, but as a writer of YA historical fiction (you can read all about my Elizabethan spy girls stories, the Maids of Honor, here.)
Still, despite my love of Elizabethan spies, I could never quite give up those super Alpha contemporary romance heroes. So, in the summer of 2013, I decided to see if perhaps I might still have a romance or two up my sleeve.
I wrote a tale about a girl whose biggest high-school and college crush–a rock star–suddenly becomes her biggest client, only now she has to be professional and not betray the fact that she’s completely in love with the guy. It was a fun, sexy, romantic fantasy, and I suggested the idea to my agent… who asked what other ideas I had in addition to this story. Shortly after, the Rule Breakers series was born.
To separate these books from my historical work, I adopted the name Jennifer Chance. I am now pursuing my dreams (pretty much round the clock as it turns out) and am THRILLED to be able to have four e-books coming out in 2014 and early 2015, all with Random House LoveSwept’s New Adult romance line.
As to what will happen from here, who knows? But as long as there is a story to be written and an HEA to be had, I’ll be the one over in the corner, tapping away on my keyboard.

Searching For Series Book #2

★★★★★
5 Stars

The up-and-coming matchmaking agency Kinnections is the hottest thing to hit Verily, New York—just like Kennedy Ashe, social director for the service she owns with her two best girlfriends. A coach, consultant, and cheerleader rolled into one super-sizzling package, Kennedy creates dream dates, encourages singles to shine, and never refuses a challenge—not even Nate Ellison Raymond Dunkle, rocket scientist, nerd extraordinaire, and Kennedy’s newest client.

Kennedy vows to work her magic and transform this hot mess in a lab coat with a disastrous relationship track record into the most wanted man on the Verily dating scene. If only she could turn the wand on herself . . .

Though she radiates confidence and sex appeal, Kennedy harbors deep-seated insecurities from a tormented past and lifelong struggle with weight issues. When she realizes she and Nate are cut from the same cloth and might be perfect together, can Kennedy learn to let her heart lead the way? Or will her fears sentence her to the sidelines as Nate finds love—with someone else?

MY THOUGHTS ~ Bianca

Kennedy is one of the 3 owners of KINNECTIONS - a matchmaking agency in upstate New York.
Her friend and business partner Kate found her HEA in the first book in the series SEARCHING FOR SOMEDAY and now it's Ken's turn.
Only, she's not really searching. She's happy with her sometimes-dating. Well, not happy - more content. She doesn't want to get too close to somebody, because she's afraid that they get to see the real her. Not the sexy matchmaker, but the sad and lonely fat girl she used to be in highschool.

Enter: NED - or rather Nathaniel Ellison Raymond Dunkle ☺
He's the proverbial NERD! A rocket scientist - even though that's not what you call them anymore - he's an aerospace engineer ☺

And since he just turned 32 and nobody really cared....

Three months ago, he had celebrated his thirty-second birthday and realized he had no one to invite over.

he decides to finally go looking for more. He wants to meet a woman, get married, have kids. He doesn't want to be alone anymore.

He starts doing research - by reading COSMOPOLITAN and FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and the KAMA SUTRA ☺ and now he's signed up for a speed-dating thing from Kinnections.

He doesn't make the best first impression, though.
First of all, his skin is orange!!!
He didn't like this laboratory white skin-tone - and that's why he used some bronzing lotion.

Dear God, he was a living Dorito.

Then - he's way too honest and serious and socially filter-less ☺
None of the 20 ladies want to see him again.

Challenge accepted! Thinks Kennedy. She decides to take him under her wing and turn him into the perfect guy.

Unfortunately Ned, or Nate - as he's supposed to call himself now - is really attracted to his gorgeous match-maker!!!!

They seem to have sooo much in common!

Will Kennedy finally let herself fall for someone?
Will she be able to overcome her fears and give this nerdy guy a chance??

WILL THERE BE A HAPPY END?

I'm not telling you that, of course ☺
I don't want to spoil your reading pleasure ☺

I REALLY ENJOYED READING THE BOOK

I loved Jennifer's ^Marriage to a Billionaire Series^ - and this is the second book of the spin-off series. We even meet most of the old characters again ☺ And the book of Spells too☺
I normally hate most things supernatural - but it's only this tiny little thing here - that  ☺ It didn't bother me at all.

This was such a sweet and adorable Romantic Comedy!!!
I would LOVE to watch the movie ☺ I really want to see who they would cast for Nate ☺

There were sooo many funny and cute and sexy moments in this book.

Some people might say it was a bit cheesy - fairy-talish Rom-Com cliched - but I really loved it.
That's just the way you want your Romances to be!!!
FUNNY - SEXY - MOVING - FRUSTRATING!!!!

Of course not everything and everyone is always happy in this story - our characters have faced some real problems in their pasts and now it's time to work on them - to overcome all their fears and insecurities and fight for the love of their lives!!!

I can really recommend this book to everybody who loves a sweet and fast-reading romance!

You might even shed some tears - at least I did ☺

Oooohhh and all you Wolfe Fans out there (Me! Me! Me!!!) - we met him in the last books - he's in here too (in sexy Golf clothes!!!) - I hope we'll get to hear his story soon ☺

Can't wait for the rest of the series!!!

Were there a few things I didn't like? Hm nope -not really. Mayyybe - like in the first book - Jennifer mentions lots of TV-Shows - which is weird since Nate is a nerdy workoholic who doesn't even watch TV - and wouldn't know those shows.
Nothing else to complain about!!!!

 I really enjoyed it.
GO GET IT!☺

MY THOUGHTS ~ Janeane

ARC Received via Netgalley for an honest review

I am a big fan of Jennifer Probst, and love love love her Marriage series.

And I love love LOVE this spin off series.  We get the old characters from the marriage series, along with the new.

And the new is sexy rocket science guy, Nate.  He's completely adorkable.

Searching for Perfect has that sweet, sexy rom-com feel about it.  It's not that we don't know where things are going to end up, but it is the ride we are taken on to get there.

I love that Kennedy and Nate aren't perfect (it just doesn't do it for me when everything is perfect for everyone!!) They have real life problems that hold them back, and I love that they have to work through their problems to get to their HEA.... or do they?

I love the other girls at Kinnection, and as cave man as he is at times, I loved Nate's brother.  Aaaaand I loved that Wolfe makes another appearance!

I laughed, I cried, my heart broke, my heart healed.  Ms Probst didn't make it easy for her characters at all!!

I mean, who doesn't love a story about two people finding love when they are least expecting it, and when it is right under their noses, even better!

Now, bring on the next one, I need more!!

JENNIFER PROBST:
STOLEN FROM HER HOMEPAGE

I’ve always wanted to be a writer. At twelve, I took a pen in hand and wrote my first love story. I haven’t stopped since. Those heroines taught me valuable lessons that served me well. I learned to keep my head up high and surge forward when I was afraid; I learned to demand respect in a relationship; I learned about compromise and dreams and independence. Those are the stories I want to write, and I can only hope I give back some of the joy I received over the years.
I live in the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York. I’ve traveled to many places but always seem to be drawn back to the mountains. I graduated with a business degree, worked for Mercy College, and now spend most days dedicated to my family and my characters. I’ve pursued many career paths such as travel agent, yoga teacher and insurance salesperson. I’ve wanted to be an airline pilot, a dancer, an archaeologist, and a vineyard owner. I have been all of the above through romance novels, and intend to explore many more.
One of my turning points in my career was when I joined Romance Writers of America and met the wonderful people in my local chapter, The Hudson Valley RWA. Through supportive critique sessions, I learned how to develop my raw skills to get a publishable manuscript. I discovered my tendency for wordy prologues and passive phrases that all new writers work through, and now try to help others on their journey.

My “leisure time” is spent writing, reading, and raising two active boys. I believe animals are the other children in this world, and enjoy spending time at the local animal shelter, where I got my first “baby” Bella, a shepherd hound mix who gets into as much trouble as my son! I rescued my second dog from an abusive home, a beagle, basset hound who is the peacemaker in the household.

I met the love of my life when I had finally given up on my own romantic journey. The first time he asked me out he promised to buy my book if he could buy me dinner. We had dinner and fell in love over sushi and haven’t been apart since. We married and settled into domestic bliss. That’s when I learned it wasn’t about happy endings. It was about happy beginnings.
