Review by Janeane - ARC received for honest review

If you have not read Yearning Devotion, you should do so before reading Yearning Absolution.

Yearning Absolution starts off where Devotion ends.  Gwen's past has come back to haunt her, so she and girlfriend McKayla have moved into her boyfriend's (yes, you read that right) apartment.

I do like Gwen.  She is one strong, fiesty woman.  Been through so much (not going to tell you what it is though) but she still comes through and has the capacity to love with all her heart.

Cole - what can I say about Cole other than swoon.  He is so understanding about the relationship he finds himself in with Gwen and McKayla, I am not sure man people, male or female would be so understanding.

But McKayla - ugh gees in this book she is just a whiney bitch!!  Talk about self centred, I wanted to slap her and tell her to wake up to herself!  They are all trying to learn how to live with their new arrangement, but she acted like a 3 year old who had their favourite toy taken away!

And then there is something that happens, but is forgiven almost immediately. I was all
seriously, all forgiven and forgotten in the same sentence you found out about it.  Yeah - NO!!  This irritated me as no one would act like that!

No story would be complete without psycho exes and people trying to keep the couple apart, and Yearning Absolution has these.

For most of the book, I wished that McKayla was not in it!  Gwen and Cole are just wonderful together and at times I felt McKayla took away so much from their story that it may have been better without her - Sorry Rachael!

EXCERPT
Gwen shook her head again. This morning she was in a very reflective mood apparently. She quickly grabbed a boring light grey knee length business dress that had a high collar and tiny sleeves that barely covered her shoulders. She was just stepping into it when Cole walked into the closet.
“Hm. I think I might just never let you leave.” Cole said as he leaned against the door frame between the bedroom and the bathroom wearing a towel slung low around his hips. He had showered after Gwen. She hadn’t been able to sleep and got up early to start getting ready.
“What are you gonna do? Lock me in the closet? Heaven knows if I ate clothing I’d be able to survive a few years at least.” Gwen laughed gesturing at the large closet.
“No.” Cole said before taking the few steps it took to close the distance between them. He wrapped his arms around her waist before nuzzling his face in her neck. He took a deep breath and slowly let it out before speaking again, “I think I could wake up to see your face every day for the rest of my life. Just to find you standing in just a pair of sexy panties, thigh highs and a little bra in my closet every day, I think I just might give up everything I’ve worked so hard for in my life. I might never let you leave my life. ”

I don't want to give away too much, but there may be one of these
 and maybe talk of these

but to find out who is with who and when and why, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

I did enjoy Yearning Absolution, but compared to Yearning Devotion, I felt there was a little something lacking, but at the time of writing, I cannot quite put my finger on what it is.

Thank you Ms Orman for the opportunity to read and review Yearning Devotion, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
